Having a problem with horizontal banding on cyan prints. Having problems with print head test on cyan. See attached photos. Is the next step replacing the capping station?

Definitely needs a new cap station. When you see one side of the color go out on the same channel, a replacement cap is needed.

If the cap top doesn't resolve the issue, then you may need a new head, but the cap top is the cheapest option and should be tried first, especially if it hasn't been changed in a while.

Run through a cleaning cycle, do another test print to see if the dropouts are consistent. Do a visual inspection to look for signs of damage or obstruction. Do a manual cleaning per your machine's requirements. Check your wipers for buildup or damage, replace as necessary. Remove and re-seat the ink cartridge. Check your capping station for buildup, debris, etc. Do a head soak. Check to see if the test print still looks the same. If you don't see significant improvement, you might have a deeper issue.

Was there an event recently that you can correlate to this? Perhaps a head strike or a new ink cartridge? No ink leaking out of the machine? Did this just start all of a sudden, or is it a progressive thing?
