Hoarding wall pricing

As an installer what would you charge for a mall hoarding wall?

I was thinking 1$ a sq. ft

I have 2 walls to quote on 1 being 12'x23' the other 12'x43'

so that would be 276$ and 516$

Company is willing to provide me with the scissor lift so it's strictly install. I could get both done in 8-9 hrs if they were in the same day.

thanks

Do you really think it's going to take you 9 hours to drape 16 pieces ?? Even by yourself, I would think you could do much better than that.

About a year ago, we did 2 walls, both being 11' x 34' outside and we completed them both from start to finish in about 5.5 hours. It's almost the same thing you're doing. We didn't use a lift, just step ladders with a walk-plank. We provided the graphics and installation for a total of $6,300 and some change. The place was about an hour drive-time away which added a little.

I'm trying to take into my whole day. I'd like to get away from pricing by how long I think it'll take me and just price certain things my the sq.ft. I'm assuming these are 2 walls at 2 different location in the mall, so I need to move my lift while being escorted by mall staff and grabbing lunch. Depending on the design I can slap them down pretty fast but I'd like to give out a flat rate for things like these.

I'm wrapping a 24' delivery truck tomorrow I priced out by the hr. I feel I left some on the table or I should charge ore buy the hr I guess.

I've done many of these walls over the years, more hand painted then anything, but we always worked during regular bours. They just rope you off and tell ya not to wander around.

This is inside a mall so they will probably require you work before or after hours.....I would account for that too.

It's during the day, this mall is pretty good about that. I've only had to do a few during the night and it has more to do with the retailer then the mall in my experience.

you can call it that.. it's the wall they put up in a mall when they are building a new store

Ok, now that I know what that is. YES we have done alot of these over the years, unfortunately our local mall is going to hell so that has slacked off. We used to handpaint and vinyl them and for the sizes you have mentioned

painted and vinyl
12x23-$2300.00
12x43-$3800.00
we did this method forever, but then the mall wanted to cheapa$$es so we offered covering in vinyl banner material

covering in banner
12x23-1800.00
12x43-$3200.00
Covering in banners was the way to go all those years but I just had no idea. we order them with no grommets use drywall screws on corners and in middle (depending on size) and use a staple gun. the time saved vs painting is unbelivable and you can offer them full color! this is the way to go on these barricades

It depends on the size. The small ones take just as much planning and prep as the large ones so the larger the barricade the better the pricing. I also take into account how tall the panels are. If I am doing 500 sqft and it's 9 14' tall panels it will take less time than 18 7' panels.

In my area I have to install after hours so I try and often get $1.50 sqft but $1 is still really good money. On average 1 person should be able to do around 100 sqft an hour on large mural. That includes carrying your equipment in and out and checking in with mall security.
