Hello, just got our cg130ar with ID cut future. Is it possible to cut same file with kiss-cut and die-cut? We have 2 summa s one, and they do it perfectly(at first they do kiss-cut, then automaticly thru-cut ). We also do the same thing on mimaki without barcode, using finecut 9, but still cant figure out how id-cut works.

Man who touches printers inappropriately.
Looking at the same model cutter and seen some demos where it did multiple cut types, but not with the barcode. The barcode itself basically tells it what file to look for, nothing too special. Most cut files are in the range of a few hundred kilobytes or more, and the barcode at most is a few dozen characters. Messed with the same setup on Graphtec cutters, and it's not particularly useful unless doing things in big batches, nifty feature and it just uses the same sensor that is used for alignment marks and scans the barcode like an old light pen.

ID barcode works in combination: Mimaki printer + RasterLink + Mimaki cutter. You send the print-rez image through RL (with the ID barcode included) to the printer. When it reads the ID code, it draws the cutting lines automatically.

In FineCut, different cutting settings can be defined in (layers or line colors). Half-cut (thru-cut) and kiss-cut can be combined in the same job.
