Mutoh ink problems

My capping stations never had a mesh screen. I was told it was a new design and the new one was supposed to have one? Is that true?

Yes, that is true. I got one from Mutoh about 6 weeks ago and it has the screens. Their tech guy told me that every other Mutoh model, except for the FOJ, has always had the screens over the pads to prevent swelling.

of course they did. they sell it. i am really leary about aftermarket ink. i would ask people which non oem brand they are having success with first.

They would not recommend it if it didn't work. I trust the guys at Signage Specialists 100%, they have been the only honest Mutoh dealer who I've worked with so far, and they have been very good to me and everyone I've recommended to them for the past several months.

Well their head engineer guy is calling them a new design all of a sudden? So seems to me that they haven't been consistent with their design in the past and are just now realizing that the design without mesh is FUBAR ... OR all of the Mutoh suppliers have been taking the mesh screen out thinking it was only there for packing purposes all this time?.. Although possible, highly improbable.

I'm ABOUT to use it. I've been trying to find a guinea pig for months now. I've posted it several times. Looks to be the best looking so far.

yeah, i agree, they are straight up, but how long have they been selling this brand? Also, Bordeaux specifies "up to 2 years" outdoor durability and they mention very low voc's.Less solvent= less bonding. so my guess would be that it really isnt the answer.

so, no one is jumping in here , saying they use some other brand with good results. hmmm.

I use solaris on my mimaki and love it. My mutoh falcon outdoor has the same heads as some rolands I think, so i may try to use the roland solaris in it....that's what I'm leaning towards now...looking into that anyway

You can run your outdoor on 4 color. Lm Lc are not necessary.

I will have to look into how to bypass them then...Two less carts to buy anyway has to be better!
