My wiper is stuck

I was soaking the heads on my 1204 today to clear up a couple dry spots and somewhere along the line the wiper moved back and I'm not sure how to get it back without forcing it....Any ideas?

Nevermind, I ran a small print and it returned.

It should be back normally and come forward when doing a wipe.

I believe there is a gear mechanism, don't quote me, havent worked on many of these.
So you might try physically operating the gear if it is a little stuck with dried ink.

If you got too much solvent down in the gears/mechanism you might have a problem.
Try cleaning it up as much as possible with some denatured alcohol.

You may have to disassemble and or replace parts if it is stuck together by 'melting'

i spray white lithium or wd40 on it... can't remember off hand, but i have used both...
