Newbie decal help

hey guys

New here so sorry if it's a dumb question.

We currently do embroidery and garment printing (cad cut vinyl, not digital printing). We're thinking of getting a cutter / printer to enable us to do full colour prints and i've also been thinking about doing vehicle decals and stickers and also banners.

Question is, does EVERYTHING need laminating? if i'm just using cut vinyl for decals can i place them without laminating ? what about printed decals ? and i know this isn't really the right section what about banners ?

BTW, i'm in the UK, so not so much sun but lots and lots of rain, if that makes any difference.

Thanks, Chris

For vehicle lettering always try to use cast colored films which will last a few years longer and be much easier to remove when the time comes. Always laminate printed decals for outdoors, especially vehicles.

Banners are by nature temporary, so no, no one laminates them. But occasionally a customer may need a printed banner to last somewhat longer so we offer the option to liquid lam with Clear Shield or similar product, which may give it another year or so.
