Thoughts and opinions...

It's still a work in progress, but would like to hear some opinions.

I need to expound a little more on the "About" page and I need to come up with a better photo viewer for the "Profile" page.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts....

Text is very difficult to read. Its legible but, its hard on the eyes to make out. I don't have the worst eye sight but, I was straining to read it. Someone with bad eye sight is going to move on.

I suggest using a larger heavier font that is easier on the eyes. Also, I don't like the way the whole site feels weighted to the left side. The general populace reads left to right and this site forces my eyes to the right side then the left it feels unnatural.

One last thing why does all the text/images appear in a black box separate from the background?? I don't like that. Feels inconsistent doesn't blend well.

Just my opinion as a consumer, not as a designer.

I would center It first and than maybe make It longer (droping down) i would also put a light color background that way the gray boxes will actually contrast, finally i would add some explainatory pictures separete from the gallery, im not a computer geek or nothing its just an opinion, check out mine www.mgcustomgraphics.com i did It myself too and still a work on progress as well keep It up youll get there

No disrespect to you but no one cares "about you" this is even in reference to my site. I started out with this long drawn out crap no one cares about it and it didn't hit me until the next morning, all people care about is the basics.

how long ya been in biz, whats your clients and blah blah blah. qucik and dirty. When I go to someones website i dont care if their grand pappy started the biz out of the back of a chevy vega, I just wanna see what you have done

I think your website is great how it is

Basically, it gets the job done. I like it, except.... would you consider another dark color for the background other than pure black ?? Like a dark dark green or maroon.... just something other than straight black ??

It is clean site, I do agree that there needs to a better contrast from the background to the font.

the more images you can show the better it is, also adding referrals and/or list of clients adds to the creditability

I like it for the most part but I think its a little dark and too narrow. Very few people or using 15" monitors any more. Even my laptop has a 17" monitors. On my desk top, there is a good 6" margin on both sides.

Looks Good !!!

Take out the "OTher Jobs and survey work" and showcase those like you did above.

Give them a title like the others. You worked hard on those too and they look real good . Show them off. Throwing them in an "other" catagory is like eeeeeeeh we did this too.

Real good work and nice clean photos.

Without multi-quoting everyone - thank you very much for the feedback.

The site in a constant state of being updated, so I'll make some changes. I appreciate the good advice!

Maybe i'm in the minority... but i'm not a fan. The content is good, but the design is just boring, and outdated. Your website will most likely be the main source of business for you, keep that in mind when building that out. You may want to spend the money, and hire a professional.

3 years ago we had a garbage website.... after the remake... the % of business through our website sky rocketed... food for thought.

Very helpful!! Thank you for your contribution.

If that isn't sarcasm, you're welcome :). If it is, I'm serious, it looks like something done by an amateur in the late 90s. It's completely unappealing and is not projecting a professional image. Hire someone who specializes in web design, just as you would prefer that web designer hires a sign specialist when the need arises instead of cobbling something together themselves to poor result.

You should probably also hire a logo/brand designer first...

Well I definitely don't want it to be "completely unappealing". Would you be interested in designing the site and/or logo? Do you have some examples of stuff you've done so I can see your capabilities?

I appreciate the constructive criticism, thank you!

Gotta agree....it's not bad, it's not great either (keep in mind that this is from somebody whose website is still a GoDaddy parking page). It will give you a web presence but it's not going to make people remember it. They can see what you do but it all starts to look like the same pictures you see on 1000 other sites.

I do appreciate the input - thank you guys.

The logo has needed help from day one, so I'll address that and the website as I can.
