Wall material help

Having trouble getting anything to stick to a lightly textured painted walls. Basic vinyl won't stick but I figured phototex would work but it started coming off. My supply company said maybe I should look into spray painting a clear coat on wall to see if it will help.

What do you guys recommend?

Are you trying to put up a wall wrap ? Cut vinyl / letters ?

Depending on the texture of the wall I would say it's the paint. The thread reference above covers it pretty good. I had pretty good success with wall painted in an egg shell finish. The new restrictions/ changes to paint have made your jobs a nightmare.

the clear coat fix doesn't work.

Phototex extra ( stronger adhesive) might be better. I have some with edges curling up but they are three years old. There is a Phototex opaque also.

You need to prep the wall by lightly scrubbing with a scrub pad. Then wipe everything down with isopropyl alcohol. SGIA did some pretty good testing on all different types of paint. This is the method they came up with. Also here is a link to the webinar that they did on it. It is very informative and will give you some more ideas. This was also posted in an earlier thread. Look up vinyl to paint
