  • (I sell a 5 Mil Glossy Adhesive Vinyl for $81 on 54"x150') Got several questions for you.

    1) Can you tell me what other sizes you have? I have a 42" Roland, want the widest you can go for my machine.
    2) Would like total cost shipped to 94536 please.
    3) What is the rating on this and I would guess that it is a water based adhesive for this price.
    4) Do you have the print profiles available for vs-420?
    5) What is the least expensive vinyl and also PAPER (thin is okay) that you have which will still print clear? Our client has some "disclaimer" information that they need printed in super small font and still need it to be legible.
    Thanks in advance! -Chris
    Hi BigfishDM,
I saw your post on the BFCVM Matte Canvas that you are selling, is this media compatible with L25500? Does it come with any profile for Caldera RIP?

    Thanks.
    Hello Big Fish,

A nice fellow by the name of Josh @ Aw-Thentick graphics suggested three things to me.
Firstly he suggested that I buy a Roland Versecamm with cutter for about 26,000.00.
Then suggested that I should also by a laminator for about 4000.00, and that I use Oracle Easy Wrap, he said Oracles positives are , they yield sturdier results, but the negatives are that it's a bit harder to work with but that the results are worth it. ??
And third, he suggested that I contact you, because he said there are varying opinions on which equipment to go with and why, and that I should get your thoughts.
I plan to offer, car wraps, murals, banners, Marque signs.
If you have a preference for a particular brand machine and set up in that price range, if so, could you please share it with me and tell me what the advantages were.
My goal is to offer a top notch application, any assistants you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you. Eric

I have an HP5500 Designjet....Is there a material I can print on with the UV set up that I have, that is made for iron on / heat transfer? I know I can use thermal vinyl on the plotter, and press it. Is the UV ink considered solvent? Still have allot to learn and I hope you can help.

I was looking at this stuff called Eco-Print...
    http://www.imprintables.com/product/...int,487,70.htm
...and I have no clue if the UV ink is good for this.
Hey big, I see you have very good pricing on the latex material. Do you have a catalog or price list so I can check to see what else you carry? I have a credit with Advantage and also 3 sets of inks from them right now, but as soon as it runs out, I know ur the one to look for.
BigfishDM, please contact GP (signs101.com, South Carolina). He is "fishing" for an HP L25500 60" at a GREAT price (he has a GREAT pri$e from Advantage in hand). I told him on signs101 that he needed to talk with you!
    SEEKING GUIDANCE:

Hello. I have owned my 5500ps since it was new, but it has been sitting (seeing a print a month of use at best) at my former partners place for the last 5 years.

As you an imagine, all of the ink and heads are now expired. I ran an internal test print and all looks well. What is the problems I am going to see with expired inks?

I have both DYE (installed) and UV ink kits.

I have moved this printer back in to my studio now and plan to use it to create large poster prints and canvas prints on a somewhat regular basis.

    So here are my questions:

    1) Which ink set should I use? The prints will be displayed in peoples homes. Longevity is important, can I get that with DYE if I spray the prints with Bulldog? Or is using the UV inks a must?

    2) Where should i buy my inks and printheads?

    3) Who is you favorite canvas supplier?

I really appreciate your help as I move back in to this part of the industry! Thank you for any guidance you can provide.
    hi,
how are you?you seems to know what you talk about when it comes to printers,an associate offered his hp 2500 to me as a trade,my question is,is this printer worth the trouble of replacing the print head, what are the capabilit(y)ies in terms of outdoor/indoor,is it just good for posters only?be kind to give the lowdowns.
    i thank you.
    Hi Josh-

We're quoting a job on the removable wallcovering material, and it's going to Singapore for installation. Should it be laminated and/or premasked for install? If so, any recommendations on premask?
