  1. Which printer vendor has the best support?

We've had good luck with our Epson printers, there was a tech less than 2 hours away who would get to really quickly. Epson also would overnight three boxes the size of a small microwave, so if the tech needed more parts he had them. Now our tech is 6 hours away but still gets to us pretty...
  2. Printing onto folded Aluminium panels

Can you make a jig that you can reload on the back of the printer? That way your only transporting the foam to the back and then putting the panels on there? Have you thought about using the pink foam insulation sheets for your jig? *I would've be doing something similar when we had our EFI...
  3. Need Help on Weather to Take on Label Job

Unfortunately I don't do enough of the printing to tell you how. It's either over print or under print... It may be a profile thing. I'm sure someone on here would know for sure.
  4. Need Help on Weather to Take on Label Job

I would just try printing black on the gold. IF the black isn't opaque enough which it should be I'd print white behind the black. I saw you had an Epson 80600, so I assumed you had white available.
  5. Need Help on Weather to Take on Label Job

I would use RTAPE VinylFX, try printing just black if that doesn't work back with white.
  6. Expand offerings - or limit focus?

With the addition of the flatbed printing, I think you will become more efficient with 4 items in your top 10. That will allow you to focus on other items to weigh out the profitability. For some customer it isn't always about price, it's easier to come to you for 500 coroplast signs, 2 pair...
  7. Paint Booth

We have a smaller paint booth... It's all open with downdraft filters. It works well for smaller jobs. Some larger pieces we have to paint elsewhere. I've attached the link. There were too many hoops to jump through here to get an actual booth... we would've had to spend almost three times...
  8. New printer advice

We had two Epson 60600s, great workhorses with minimal issues. After 5-6 years we had the same thing go out on both... some $2k sensor. We replaced those with the bulk 80600, we haven't had any other issues to speak of. The color gamut on the 80600 is phenomenal.
  9. The annual question...how was business this year?

We had a pretty good year until October everyone puckered up around here until after the election. Since then, the orders have been flowing in!
  10. Hang acrylic without standoffs

We just put white vinyl on the white ink and adhere our cleat to that. We have signs that have been up for years with no issue.
  11. Reliable QR Code Generator?

There's a QR Code generator in Indesign and Illustrator
  12. UV Flatbed Printer Experience

Mr.Fixit, we have had our Vanguard VK300D for almost three years now. I don't have many complaints or issues with the machine, it just hums along. I like the ability to add up to 10 total print heads so the machine can grow with your workflow. They also now offer and print/conveyor/cut option...
  13. Sign Installation Pricing

It's a new way to penalize the sign shop or customer, or both. They city and their fees...
  14. Sign Installation Pricing

In our city, if you make the sign and the customer installs it they can come back on you and fine or take your sign license. The thought is only to have professional sign installers installing signs. That way they aren't falling off the building killing people. It's a pain, but ever since we...

Are these interior or exterior use?
