I haven't used it on acrylic, just dimensional urethane. I would think it would hold well to acrylic if you go over it with a scotch pad or use very fine sand paper to put a tooth on it.

+1 for the spray adhesive idea. Instead of trying to mask it, spray the adhesive into a cup (enough to form a liquid pool) and paint it on the back of the graphic with a small craft brush. When the glue starts to set, push the graphic down into place.

You don't hear about Ioline at all, but I must say this is among the best of plotters I've ever used...and I've used a few. My Ioline is probably 20 years old, and I paid about $1K for it back in the day---the only thing I've had to do to it is load the vinyl in...it's a beast...
