  1. Mutoh 1204 banding and white spots

Well after having a mutoh technician out and speaking with several others. This is the conclusion: Being able to print Cmyk as opposed to variable dot cmyk Banding issues masked by a 1440 profile Having to use a specific dither type White dots were a result of a heavier inked profile All...

That is a nozzle check from service mode menu. I've tried every quality, every graphic, every wave pattern. Still have banding in cyan, basically all colors depending on what profile is used. Only way I can hide banding is if I print 1440x1440, quality 1 error diffusion dither type. Printing...

I've tried none less then 20 different profiles with all different types of heat settings, wave patterns etc... although some profiles with higher pass mask the problem, less noticeable. It's still a problem and can't let this type of quality pass Qc. I would like to find a solution to the...
  7. Mutoh 1204 banding and white spots

Thanks for the reply. Can printhead voltage even be considered on a 1204? I would check, but don't have a digital microscope handy. I get solid blacks, but with some satellites when using a heavier inked profile, reds look ok, blue, cyan is probably the worst along with green. Although...

  12. white dots, satellites, fisheyes etc.. on vinyl print HELP!!

I have a second machine next to it, same model, same media. I don't have the white spot issue on that 1204. So I can rule out the media as the culprit. I'm ready to throw this printer out the door!
  13. white dots, satellites, fisheyes etc.. on vinyl print HELP!!

Slide, raceways, bearing all maintained and cleaned regularly. Idk what else could be causing this issue. I've read this happens to a lot of people, but I couldn't find any concrete answers anywhere on this forum in old posts.
