Yes. It does. Any suggestions on how to delay the inevitable loss of main board?
THANK YOU
Thanks for the input everyone. There is no router. Printer is directly connected to CPU (Which has plenty of RAM)
Our VP-540v will stop at random times during a print job, carriage will return to base and not move. Screen stays at "Processing" and will not budge. Turning main power on and off is the only way to get my cpu to "see" the network connection ( a direct ethernet connection) and the next job will...
I am looking for the PDF version of the technician's service manual for the VP540. I don't mind making a "charitable donation" to somone's paypal account for the help. Thanks!
Anyone else care to endorse this? Thank you Northern Design for the advice. I want to do this with my printer if it makes a big difference. Are the instructions for this in the Service Manual?
VanderJ,
Thank you for responding. I have tried 2 new cap tops. Same thing going on. I've never had an issue with cap tops being bad out of the box.
Where else would air be coming into the system?
I am getting no suction when pulling from below the cap on the Magenta head.
The print head is barely printing.
Could this be a bad damper?
Where is the best source for instructions on changing the damper?
Thank you
VanderJ,
Could an old/failed damper be the cause of non suction for your test? I just replaced the magenta cap top and i'm getting very little suction on my magenta head when pulling air down.
Thanks!
Thanks guys for the input. I am in New England FYI. Not UK.
czar2178, if you are interested in quoting the job, let me know. I can provide common frieght carrier. You'd just have to package it up safely.
Thanks
Hunter
Hello,
I am looking to outsource 4x8 panel printing. End result is graphics for a street width aluminum truss. 13-15 panels worth. One sided printing on 4 mil coroplast.
Anyone up for this?
Any recommendations of printers I should check with?
Thank you
I am picking up a used VP-540 with 2200 hours.
That sounds like a lot on a scan motor. A lot for the printer in general.
Thoughts?
Personal experience?
Thank you for the feedback.
I think you are confirming what I am describing in my situation as what is supposed to be the case. All digits but last 3 are the same in Net tool and VW. Last octet is different... VS: "Printer Settings" different from Net Tool console.
To your last point about making sure there isn't another...
Updating the firmware on the printer itself seems like a logical stem, although it's one that I am super hesitant to try, lest it really messes with an older "legacy" printer.
Is there anyone out there that can confirm that updating the firmware on an SP540V from 6.x to whatever is most recent...
The IP address is correct. Although Net Tool sees a different last 3 digits than VersaWorks lists, but from what I understand the last 3 digits don't matter.
If the IP address wasn't correct, the printer should not be reporting anything to VersaWorks right?
Ink levels and current status should...
I just turned off Windows firewall. Did not help. I was also running Spybot for antivirus purposes. Uninstalled it. That also did not help.
Also tried the unplug it from the wall thing. Perhaps I am missing a step with the InterCon-Netool App? It sees the printer as well but seems to hang on a...
