  1. Profil creation with Digital Factory DTF edition

We have TXF 300s, cadlink and an x-rite as well. We made some profiles in a demo of Printfactory and it worked pretty well but we just haven't had time to keep up and actually use them so we're back to digital factory. Printfactory did seem to have a little wider gamut but the workflow was a...
  2. Clear, thick, permanent vinyl?

We've used General Formulations floor graphic laminate for this several times before. Some of them are anti-slip but still have a nice smooth finish. There are also laminates made for motocross etc that are in the 6-9mil range from Substance, GF and others that work well too.
  3. Are there 3rd party inks for the Espon S60600?

We have Mimaki's on Bordeaux and a 60600 on factory ink. The factory ink costs more but the Epson is so much easier to use it's worth it. Our Mimaki is great as well but ink cost on the Epson definitely hasn't been the issue we thought it would be. Btw, pricing seems to really vary on the...
  4. Roland LEF2-200 second hand

if you were in Hawaii you could have mine It’s been unplugged and I’m dreading trying to rehab it. Will likely try to find a free home for it
  5. Need Help Large bubbles when applying vinyl to board

I'm going to try this coro trick. We're fine mounting to PVC, coro, foam core etc but we have one client we do a lot of solvent printing on optically clear (2mil thick) film and then apply it to 1/8" acrylic for and for the life of us it never works in the laminator. We wet apply it after a...
  6. Bad nozzle test Sawgrass VJ-628 (sublimation)

usually once you need a new print head there is no other way to fix it but what's the problem? Generally unless you're getting a ton of bad deflections you can soak or gently flush sublimation heads to fix a lot of problems. But if you've already gone through that then yes, you may be stuck...
  7. White Ink Dripping - TXF-150

hi, are you using the newer firmware and inputting the damper replacement in service mode when you put in a new damper? Once we updated our firmware this problem decreased to almost a non issue There is one other setting you can adjust too. Email me at hybriddesignhi@gmail.com i can send you...
  8. Solventinkjet.com review - Bad print head.

I think everyone feels your pain on the printhead. I've got two DX7s that need to be replaced right now both only about a year old which is a fun $5k. Honestly, 2 years isn't bad at all for a print head no matter what the use is. We all definitely get those unicorn heads that go forever but...
  9. Film removal difficult

Hi, If you let it cool completely can you peel it then? If it’s stuck really good but you just can’t get the film off (the whole film would feel like it’s glued to the shirt in all the areas where there is a print) then at least you know your powder adhesive is good and it’s likely just your...
  10. Need Help Epson S80600 service manual

Hi, I would think you could print that no problem even at the lower heights but you change the height in the media setup screen on the printer itself. You should probably make a new profile for 6mil vinyl and then change the head height to max and maybe up the vacuum slightly.
  11. One capping station is aligned and one isn't

It seems to be that our capping station wasn't level. It hasn't been moved since it was first installed a year ago but the left side was about 1mm lower than the right. After leveling it alignment does seem to be better and we're up and running again. Only took 6+ hours to figure this out...
  12. One capping station is aligned and one isn't

Weird question but has anyone had an issue on a dual head machine (JV300, TXF300, etc) where one capping station is aligned and one isn't? Our TXF300's have been a hot mess and one weird thing is that if we get the white capping station seal to line up the cmyk capping station is noticeably...
  13. Noisy print

hi, what profile are you using? You’ve got too much white getting laid down Heads up, these machines work well but are a LOT less dependable than any other mimaki we’ve ever owned. We have two of them and it’s a constant battle to keep them working
  14. Grommets

looked back and we purchased ours from Edward Seagul mfg. Feels a bit overpriced but well built and with a long throat grommet it’ll grommet 10mm Coro cleanly and quickly.
  15. Grommets

we have one of these and I wish it auto-loaded but it feels like it'll last forever and is easy to operate with lots of power. The dies are $$$$ though https://carrnorthamerica.com/grommet-machines/semi-automatic-pneumatic-grommet-setting-machines/ We didn't buy it from them, bought it from...
