      Be Safe!
I joined up on tuesday but have been in the business for years. Wednesday I went to a billboard to stretch a vinyl cover. I do not like them, but it is an event billboard that changes regularly and they pay me well to do it. I had a fiber glass ladder. I never liked them, as uv rays eventually weaken them. Well, it snapped and I broke a heel bone and it would appear that my days of install are now over. My message is...keep your ladders and scaffolding up to date and when you are out in the sticks like I was, keep your cell in your pocket. I was in six feet of weeds and had it not been for my cell they would have found me by the buzzards. I was cautious, did not do anything stupid, other than knowing my ladder was getting old and sun baked. Be careful out there guys and gals...I fell only about six feet, landed on my feet, and the doc said it was a rare and bad injury. Time for me to train some new blood for installs.
