It happened to my BN-20 today. I changed to a differnet computer, downloaded new utility, updated the utility to 1.4. After reading this thread i decied to give it a try. By removing and inserting in and out couple times each color. The utility now works!

If you want good colors red. You would have to look into Epson Surecolor S series. Roland will never print like Epson does.
