  1. Carriage motion failure

We haven't replaced the Data Cable, but did replace the carriage drive assembly, the tension assembly, encoder strip and belt and all seems right with the world. Aside for now. The cyan head isn't filling with ink. Not even making an attempt to fill it actually. Oh boy. This month is not...
  2. Carriage motion failure

Found the Data cable. The pink or purple cable at the top of the head right? Run's all the way to the PC. I guess, that can go back, it's constantly being moved. Interesting. I can order one of those next, I guess.
  3. Carriage motion failure

This might sound stupid, but which cable is the data cable? There are many cables in it. And seriously, the data cable? We can keep it running. It just wont do multiple prints anymore. After it does a print, it goes into the purge cycle then that is when Carriage Motion failure comes up...
  4. Hp fb700

.. We have the roll to roll addition. You can set it up completely, we haven't done that. There is no way of stopping the rolls from floating if it isn't completely level.
  5. Hp fb700

You can trick it, but you have to make sure your bed is completely flat, and you don't run real long runs, as the material will float from side to side. We tricked ours into by running it as an N-Up. Leaving the rollers up top and letting it drag the material off the tables. So the answer is...
  6. Carriage motion failure

Have you found a solution? Just wondering if you have found a solution to this? Getting the same thing. So far we have replaced the Encoder Strip, and retensioned the Carriage Belt (Waiting on a new carriage belt to arrive). Have also cleaned everything we could think to clean, checked all...

I dont notice the Offgasing until I go next door and grab a beer to bring back to the shop (of course only after closing) Then I still can't smell it, but I taste it. Its weird. You do need a good 24 hour cure on the Prints. Mine the print is fairly fragile up to about 24 hours, then its...
  8. Direct to substrate pricing

This is how I price mine. I figure out the time in minutes its going to take to print. Then take my burden rate and figure it out to the minute. Add the sqft cost of substrate and ink, then add the burden cost of the time involved to make the product. Then I pop in my multiplier for qty and...
  9. HP FB700 Purchase

Just curious if you found a fix on this. I am having the same issue with ours. You described it perfectly. This just showed up on ours a day ago. Thanks Mike

Tell the customer Tell the customer to take the top to your Body shop and have them sand it down and repaint for smooth texture. Otherwise don't bother. If its a newer model JK with a painted top, then this shouldn't be an issue. Otherwise if its an older model TJ don't bother. Just do the...
  14. Hourly Pay

There are variables First is the going to be the Market area, then the size of the company, and how many printers are you running and what type and what sort of work are you actually expected to do? Each company is going to be slightly different. If you believe you are underpayed then you...
