  1. Sawgrass direct to garment printer vs std screen printing

The sawgrass has the white ink option as well. But was just using that as I had seen it in the signwarehouse catalog I had here. Just didnt know how the quality would be compared to a screen printing system.
  2. Sawgrass direct to garment printer vs std screen printing

Well, I think you just answered my question. Most of my orders would be 75+ shirts, mostly just racing shirts.
  3. Sawgrass direct to garment printer vs std screen printing

Any opinions on the Sawgrass Direct to Garment printer that signwarehouse is selling, vs standard screen printing? Pros vs Cons, it's a very expensive jump and want to make sure that it is the right one. Thank you Mike Sosebee
  4. Need Help!!!!!!!!!

First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every person that lent a hand to help me correct my issue. Secondly, I would like that thank everyone for not bashing the super cheap vinyl plotter I purchased. But, it seems like I have the problem figured out, just gonna take some learning...
  5. Need Help!!!!!!!!!

Yes, there is 2 screw on each of the pinch rollers with springs runnings to the arm that has the rubber wheel on it. I knew going in to this I should not expect amazing results, but still a machine that is useable that I can learn with. Honestly, I really wanted a Roland or a Graphtec just...
  6. Need Help!!!!!!!!!

What about keeping the vinyl itself from shifting side to side? Also, cutting the vinyl to length may be an issue as well, I do plan to run some longer graphics in time, i.e. trailer, full size cars etc.
  7. Need Help!!!!!!!!!

The previous post in the printer section was an accident. My appologies.
  8. Need Help!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so before all you guys say I told you so, or you get what you paid for I am well aware of that part. But with lack of a good amount of investment money and the strong urge to get in to the graphic industry, I purchased a brand new R39 Vinyl Express Machine from Signwarehouse via Ebay. Ok, so...
  9. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Those prices are only going to be for those few cars im doing first. Those are very good friends and a couple family members. Don't plan on doing them at that price for everyone. Just gonna burn up them first few rolls of vinyl I get with the start up package and go from there. Im sure the...
  10. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Right now the cars I do have lined up I will be charging between $150 and $200 per car. Thats mostly for some of the materials as well as my time to install. However, I have discussed with them that they will NOT discuss pricing with anyone, as I am only doing that so I can learn about the new...
  11. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Ya, I am familiar with Robbie, that man does some great work no doubt about it. One benefit I will have on that though is he is nearly 3 hours from me. So hopefully I will get some of the local business. As of right now, I have about 5 cars lined up to do already, mostly just friends and...
  12. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Ya, im not in this for a main source of income, just for the fun of it. I dont expect to become the next best thing or anything along them lines, well not any time soon. I luckily have the help of my uncle on designing and such, he is a very seasoned graphic artist. The money I am getting for...
  13. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Thank you everyone for your input. Gary, those are some big names you are letterin there for buddy. Must be nice to have some business like that coming around. I think I have got the information in which I was needing though. I will be ordering the start-up bundle from Beacon with the...
  14. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Thats kind of what I was thinking. I did not want to catch myself doing a modified or late model and have to try and piece stuff together. I figured do it right the first time instead of many headaches later down the road. Does anyone know of a good supplier that would best to use when...
  15. Graphics rookie looking for guidance for Race car graphics

Right now, im looking at a total start up budget around $5000. Beacon has a Roland GX-300 start up bundle for like $4500, comes with cutter, software, some vinyl and tools and a few other things. Did not know if the 30" cutter would just be overkill for what I am going to be using it for if it...
