  1. Wrapping over a wrap...short term vinyl choice???

Maybe try 3M IJ3552C it is a cast with a low tack adhesive http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/236597O/controltac-changeable-graphic-film-comply-adhesive-ij3552c.pdf
  2. Printing on FB700, customer is asking for VERY specific accuracy across a 200" print.

Even with glass, on a panel that size the thermal expansion coefficient will lead to about a 0.002" variation with only a 2 degree change in temperature. Just the heat from the ink curing is likely to mess up the accuracy. Just don't think this level of accuracy is possible with this process.
  3. Warranties on vehicle graphics

Here's one from the 3M website
  4. roland profile center

This one is useful too. http://download.rolanddg.jp/en/color.html This is their profiles site from Japan. It is not all that easy to use, but there are lots of profiles. Choose your printer on the left side of the page & then scroll down to the Media Profiles dropdown at the bottom &...
  5. easiest clear vinyl you can see through

The 3M 8518 high gloss laminate is optically clear too, and you can actually print on it.
  6. Help! Blurry One Way Vision on sloped vehicle rear windows

There is something seriously weird with that perforated window film. You shouldn't be able to clearly see the image from the inside of the car like that. What especially stands out is the white text. The back side of the film should be black ! I don't agree with the 'sloping glass' reason...
  7. Is there anywhere I can get custom made vinyl?

Depends on what you want. If it is just a custom color, that is easy, both 3M & Avery do custom colors & I think you only need to order about 5 rolls. If you want a vinyl that uses a non-standard combination of existing vinyl & adhesives that they already manufacture, pretty sure 3M does this...
  8. tape sticking to window

The only time I have seen this happen is when the app tape was left on the decal for a couple of days before being removed (customer install) and the decal was in a location that had direct sun exposure. The adhesive on app tape is not UV stabilized and a bit of sun can make it permanently bond...
  9. Reflective vinyl installed on plexi windshield bubbling

Likely to be due to outgassing from the acrylic (plex) sheet. Lots of people don't seem to believe outgassing exists, but it does. If you put a non permeable film such as reflective, polyester anti-graffiti or mirror chrome over it you will likely get bubbles. As mentioned above, polycarbonate...
  10. Cut Vinyl Graphics on Vehicle, little pieces coming off of edges, Anybody know why?

The problem is mostly affecting the vertical edges of the vinyl, the horizontal edges are virtually unaffected. This would lead me to think that it has something to do with environmental conditions (washing etc.) rather than the vinyl itself.
  11. 3M Fasara printable with HP L26500?

3M Fasara is a polyester film, so it will be much more difficult to print on than a vinyl film. I know that solvent will not work. UV does work, but have not tried latex. Might have ink adhesion issues.
  12. What kind of vinyl is this? (printable - clear backing)

Ij8150 ? If the vinyl is clear & the print uses white ink it could be 3M IJ8150. That's a 2mil optically clear cast film that is printable & comes on a clear plastic liner.
  13. Best way to remove full vinyl windows

It's a bit late now...guess the job is already done...but here is another suggestion. If the graphics on the window are just single layer of film eg. unlaminated print or etched glass film. Try using a soapy water solution. Mix up a detergent & water mix similar to what you would use...
  14. Backlit outdoor printed vinyl Orajet 3850

Ha ha..... love the marketing stuff re film ratings. Read the fine print & get straight on warranty vs "expected durability"
