  1. Question for the electricians

Ditch the 100 ft. cord unless you want to replace the motor on the saw. Most common outlet circuits are 15 amp circuits. The saw and the vac combined are probably right at that limit. Thing is, when you fire up a motor there is something called inrush current. So, a motor that will draw 2...
  2. Making the change to Latex from solvent

We have the L25500 and love it. True workhorse, runs constantly and requires little maintenance. Quality of output is spectacular.
  3. Location, location, location?

There you go. The storefront locations that we did investigate were much more expensive in our area. We do almost 100% internet advertising. I can't believe that someone even mentioned yellow pages. YP and newspapers are about as relevant as a telegraph key. About the only time a...
  4. Location, location, location?

Depends on your business model. We intentionally located in a business park to avoid walk in traffic. We focus on B2B only. I will be interested in hearing how it goes.
  5. welp, off to work at the strip club.....

Funniest "sign" I ever saw was at a "gentlemen's" club in Fort Worth. On the roof just above the door the guy mounted 2 of the giant 8' old fashioned Television Dish's side by side. He then put red Christmas lights around the center feed horn and another row around the perimeter... making it...
  6. electric sander recommendations

I have a Bosch 6" random orbit unit that I have had for many years. By all rights it should have worn out long ago, but it just won't die. Love the variable speed too. I'm sure the DeWalt is great, just saying I have had good results with the Bosch.
  7. Can I FAX that to you?

Unity Fax. They assign a phone number. People fax to it and it arrives in an email. No fax machine. But the Ludites don't know that. $59.00 per year for unlimited inbound faxes and your own local phone number. Plus you always have copies stored in emails, so you don't have to chase pieces...
  8. HP L26500/Graphtec FC8000 vs. Roland or Mimaki Print &Cut

We have an HP L25500 and Graphtec FC8000. Keep them both chuggin' all the time. Haven't had any issues with the Graphtec. It is stoopid fast. It is a great combination.

  11. SEO - Should you target the largest city near you or town?

We are located in Plano, Texas. Dallas is adjacent. However, we also target Fort Worth (~35 miles). Why not? Business is business wherever you find it. You may have to take a few sheckles less due to longer travel times, but it is what it is.
  12. Wrap Material - Hate to start a new thread but...

Avery 1005 SuperCast with 1360 Lam.....Avery set might be a little cheaper and is comparable. We have been using the above for a year and a half. We can't get anyone to come close to the pricing with 3m products and we have had no issues with the material. I know Avery went through a bad...
  13. Looking for Feedback on printing equipment

We have the HP Designjet L25500 and Onyx Postershop 10 rip. We couldn't be more pleased. It is a true workhorse and the quality of the output is outstanding. Maintenance is a breeze...the machine tells you what to do and when to do it.
  14. Cordless hammer drill recommendations?

I have been managing installation crews for over 30 years and have used them all. Hiltis are nice, but pricey. We have used DeWalt for the last several years and have been very satisfied. I have used many Bosch tools over the years and those have been very good too. My best advice is not to...

  19. Hello from Texas

You don't mention a budget, but we have an HP 25500. If you are going to leave the printer idle for days at a time then this is the machine you want. We have a 60" unit, but they also have a 42" model.
