  2. Getting a new Epson Printer!

I just noted the OP is from Hong Kong. Who knows whether any RIP is included with the printer there. Or what RIP you can purchase. Nonetheless, I recommend starting out with a full RIP product that can print, panel, cut, profile, all of it, and learning that from your install instruction.
  3. Best practice for cut vinyl ACM sign

I've never had trouble with black ACM. Seems to be just fine to me. Maybe it's brand dependent?
  4. PLEASE CALL SECURITY - looking for reflective blue

I'm thinking the weird bulge in the stripe is because it's a graphic designed for a Dodge Charger or a Mustang that has a body bulge there.
  5. Getting a new Epson Printer!

We've had our S80 since January and it's been great. I liked the S70670 it replaced but the S80 is even better and easier to use. The RIP that comes with the plotter is a lite version of Onyx, but you should do yourself a favor and get the full version of Onyx, either Production House or Thrive...
  6. Need Help Mounting help w/ PVC panels

We did a museum project many years ago with printed PVC panels that we used 3/4" MDF boards sized smaller than the print painted black on the edges that were mounted to the wall with countersunk fasteners and then used 6mm PVC for the prints, attached to the MDF with a Lord adhesive that came in...
  7. Help with Art Deco Font / Contrast / Source

Though the house was made in 1750, I don't think this sign was. They didn't use the word restroom back then.
  8. Help with Art Deco Font / Contrast / Source

The Os don't look like the same font. They were probably replaced some time over the years. They are much thinner stroke than the other letters. The letters R, E, T, and O can be found in fonts like Century Gothic or Futura but their M has angled legs. Avant Garde has straight legs on the M but...

  10. How would you decorate a convex mirror?

Hard weeding only isn't worth it if you aren't charging enough for it. You could do this in cut vinyl if the graphic can be divided into rays that can be applied to the contour. The question is whether the customer will feel that $300 plus is worth it to have a frivolous idea carried out

  12. Discussion Premature Wrap discoloration where vehicle is touched by the tech's hands. Thoughts?

If it's something unique to HVAC industry, I'd guess it's the refrigerant oil. If you're only seeing it on one company's vehicles, it's probably because the techs that work there aren't wearing the gloves they are supposed to be wearing when opening compressors or refilling systems, etc. The oil...
  13. SJEOOW Cable

The cable is fine but if they are skipping the use of conduit where they run the cable to and through the wall that would likely be the code violation.
  14. Simple white window graphics. Is die-cut white vinyl alone sufficient?

I wouldn't stock a 50 yd roll of 48" vinyl. It's too hard to do routine jobs without waste, and putting application tape on 48" is a total pain compared to 24" or 30". You will very seldom find a job that cannot be done with 24" or 30" vinyl. You're only doing two 5' windows on this job, so I...
  15. Simple white window graphics. Is die-cut white vinyl alone sufficient?

I would buy the 24" or 30" and find a place to break the graphic apart so it fits on the vinyl. But if you must cut it as a whole 32" high piece, Fellers sells 3M 7125 (cast) 48" wide by the yard. You will not end up using 48" vinyl often enough to use up a long roll.
  16. Simple white window graphics. Is die-cut white vinyl alone sufficient?

Your thread title asks if die cut vinyl alone is sufficient. It's not only sufficient, it is the correct choice. And, as mentioned, overlaminate is for prints. As to whether Avery 750 is OK, it will certainly do the job just fine. Avery says that in Zone 1 (North America and Western Europe) it...
  17. Window perf printed

It will fade faster and when it rains they will be completely unable to see out the back window. Water fills the little holes and makes it like a frosted window. If they drive on dirt or gravel roads dust will fill the holes and block vision also. If it's going on a vehicle it needs to be...

  19. How do I fix these?

What is a rendered wall? Rendered usually implies a drawing, so if you're dealing in the virtual world usually no adhesive or fastener is required. You just place the letters in the layout on the virtual wall.
  20. Epson SureColor S40600 printing blank pages

The Epson service fee will get your printer back to as-new condition. Better to pay it and be in operation than to futz around and be out whatever you paid for an inoperable printer. You can't get replacement parts except through their authorized service.
