  1. Deciding Between Industrial CNC and ShopSabre

If your Current CNC guy is retiring, why not talk to him about buying the equipment? Pay him a consult fee to show you how to use it as well. Running a CNC, especially if you're doing 3d work in wood, isn't the easiest thing. And no matter how good of a dust collector you have, there will be...
  2. Latex 570 not printing blue correctly. Comes out as purple

Our blues are always on the darker side using the built in spectro.... Profiling our own media they come out way better. But with using the profile the printer generates...royal blue is almost a black, lighter blues turn purple... Greys are "ok" but theyre a big mix of CMYK so they suck under...
  3. Holographic Window Film as seen in London - New Bond Street

    Big fish sells it. https://thebigfishdigital.com/shop/ols/products/6040-holographic-window-perf-vinyl-60x164
  4. CUT MASTER 4 AND UPDATING:

Cutting master 4 is no longer supported / maintained software - sai no longer produced it, and graphtec is producing cm5... Which is why cm5 is so different than cm4. Cm4 should work assuming it works with the version of illustrator you're using .. we use cm4 at work with the latest version fine.
  5. Laser cutter "pitting" on the back side

I bought a pack of 100 golf tees and I usually throw them in the honeycomb, it raises it off the bed by about a quarter inch. Not bad for bigger parts... but I have 300 2"x6" Acyrlics to cut, and I'm not putting 500 golf tees in. I'll cut a sheet of quarter inch out and give it a test - As long...
  6. Laser cutter "pitting" on the back side

Hmm.. never thought of acrylic honeycomb. What thickness is it / where do you buy it from? How long does it last? I do a ton of acrylic these days and I cover the table with wypall and spray it with water... It works but is a pain, having an acrylic honeycomb I can just drop on-top of my...
  7. Laser cutter "pitting" on the back side

Are you using a honeycomb table? That's called flashback. You can raise the acrylic off the metal so the beam doesn't hit it and bounce back, or put a wet cloth under the acrylic to minimize / stop the flashback as well.
  8. concerned about solid black banners needing to gas out before mounting in banner stand Epson s80600L

You shouldn't have to go too slow. We print banner on 4 pass and it dries fine.. id try turning off all heaters but the last one, and using regular speed. We just printed 4 rolls of smooth banner, not one curl or defect... You can nail down a fast good profile, you just have to play with it.
  9. Need Help Installing a double sided traffic sign post

And if you're talking about the square posts... Telespar, you just bolt through it like mentioned - Theres a hole every 1"... so make sure your hole spacing is 1" Increments center to center. If you're asking how to install the post - It all depends... is it going on concrete or into the...
  10. Need Help Installing a double sided traffic sign post

https://www.trafficsigns.com/heavy-duty-post-clamps-2-3-8-hw-br-5 I dont think HS1 is unique to Canada, but it looks like you guys dont call them HS1 brackets - We pay like $3 each... but we buy thousands, so not sure what the price is for a single... that seems expensive.
  11. Need Help Installing a double sided traffic sign post

Do you guys not use HS1 brackets in USA? https://www.sheendesign.ca/products/view/1704-hs1-bracket You can put a bolt in both sides of the bracket so it can be a double sided sign
  12. concerned about solid black banners needing to gas out before mounting in banner stand Epson s80600L

Have you ever made your own media profile? You could probably just edit one of the can profiles and turn the heat down.... I've done hundreds of banner stands on our latex, all generations... 360, 560, and our 700. We used to get a ripple effect on our 360 until we turn the heat down, the 560...
  13. concerned about solid black banners needing to gas out before mounting in banner stand Epson s80600L

Are you printing on one side, or both? Turn your heat way down and add an interpass delay. Or print on higher passes. We use anything from ultraflex to dealership branded double-sided and it prints fine. Ultraflex can handle the heat whereas the cheaper thinner stuff you just have to slow it...
  14. FC8600 segment marks issue

Are you loading it straight? Does it look like its in the right position when it tries to scan the next set of marks? When you got cutting master > cut, under Registration marks... Is Cut segment by segment ticked? If so untick it and see if it still does it. By default CM4 will read all...
  15. Canon Colorado M Series.

These machines arent really designed for paper... Not saying it wont work, but blueprints are generally printed on a "Plotter" / Aqueous printer - Much faster, Theyre way cheaper... and more accurate. My resin has been pretty bang on accurate, but I dont know if it would be for stuff like...
  16. Suggestions Adding slitters to roll laminator?

Usually I agree... but who wants equipment that 2 decades? We had a Seal 54 base... cost was $22K. Had it for a decade until someone sliced the roller up... we re-sleeved it, but it never worked as good. We bought a cheap $5K Royal Soveirgn Fremont.... It tracks nice, has slitters on it, It...
  17. Canon Colorado M Series.

As mentioned - they're not throw away. I've had my printer for..2-3 years now (when resin just came out) and I haven't had to change the head, and it's perfect still. I don't print all day on it, but with the same usage my latex was at about 2k in heads being replaced already. UV gel is...
  18. Canon Colorado M Series.

Are you using cheap media? Or media with a very thin backer? If so there's a media guard you can buy and install to prevent it. I've never had to use mine, but I don't use the really cheap stuff.... So I've never had the issue. Only on really thin banner, in which case I just turned off the...
  19. Suggestions Adding slitters to roll laminator?

Omtech is great - They have USA support (Partially). I've had a few broken pieces upon arrival due to shipping, and they overnighted new ones right away. Theyre "High end" chinese, you could probably get it for 70% the price buying direct from china... but theyre cheap enough, and this ships...
  20. Car toppers?

https://www.amazon.com/ComplianceSigns-Corrugated-Plastic-Student-English/dp/B00RY4JZVK Make this out of coroplast, costs about $5 to make... Careful with magnets though as most cars dont use magnets anymore. Search Amazon for Taxi roof sign, and a few LED options come up... But most car...
