We do it all the time. If our cost on the material if we supplied it is $100 we will take $75 off the price of the sign. We make more profit, the customer gets the illusion that they saved money, everybody wins.
Glass Apeel from Grimco. Goes on like a stiff decal, doesnt blow off or wash off. Can be peeled off, thrown in the back seat, and put back on later. It works with some weird micro-suction cup technology.

I HATE CLOUD BASED SOFTWARE. We are running Illustrator as a part of the entire Adobe Creative Suite. Works great most of the time, the problem is that if I go help a customer I get back to my desk and Illustrator has shut down. I restart and most of the time everything I had open will...
One of those suppliers cost me a $40,000 a year contract by screwing a project up SO badly the client wouldn't even let me reprint them and give them to them for free. They just cancelled the contract and moved on to the next supplier on their list. We had just purchased my sign shop, bought...
I had it, now I don't. I'm looking for the file where you print out the crosshairs, load them in the plotter, and make test cuts and adjustments until everything is perfect. I need the file and the instructions. I have spent HOURS digging through Graphtec's site and I'm waiting on a call back...
I am going to need a few sublimation prints done in the next week, probably only 20 or so, approximately 12" X 16". Anyone interested in hooking a brother up?
I am going to need a supplier for 8' x 60' 13 ounce banners, hemmed with grommets. I'm going to need a lot of them for an ongoing project and I'm looking at needing a wholesale price in the 60¢ range. I know I can have them done offshore but I would prefer domestic. Any suggestions?
Is there a good wholesale DTG printer anyone would recommend or is there anyone here who does it? I have 25 white 100% cotton shirts that I need printed one side with a full color logo. It's not enough shirts to justify setting up 7 screens for screenprinting.
Also, while I'm at it, is there...
Is there anyone here who does glue chipping? I just made my first attempt at it and pretty much managed to make a mess with no chips.
Here are my details:
•Annealed glass, masked with vinyl, etched with 70 grit aluminum oxide
•Cleaned with warm water then 99% isopropyl alcohol
•Glue was...
Thanks so much for that advice. Did the beam alignment today and the thing is working perfectly. It cuts through 1/4" luan plywood quickly and beautifully and I'm getting deep engraving all the way across now.
We have an old MiniHelix 35w laser in the shop that I am trying to get running. It engraves, it cuts but there are several issues I wanted to see if anyone had any advice on. I know virtually nothing about laser engraving and cutting, the first time I'd ever even seen one in action was when I...
I can't remember the last time I actually sold any Gemini letters. I can remember all the phone calls I've gotten from customers who ordered their own letters without a pattern and want me to install them.
The mossy color is a good, solid print end to end, just the wrong color. A majority of what we do isn't color critical so shifts in color wouldn't really be a big deal and would probably go unnoticed. When they were noticed it was blamed on creating art in CMYK instead of RGB or vice versa...
