Im in a bit of a pickle and as of right now I am mad af. Not sure who am I should be mad at yet.... Yes.. in a perfect world, this could have been avoided but I wonder what you guys would do in my case. This is not gonna be short but I would love some help and your 2 cents. I will try to keep it...
Well... I have never received a reply but I opened a tech support ticket back then with roland and while I did no receive a word from them there was an update a week later and It just occurred to me that maybe i should revisit this issue and low and behold now the file shows up perfectly in vw6...
At first, I thought some layers did not get printed but I just did some small-scale prints and realized something else is happening. I had to make a video of it... too much to type and I feel like it would be too confusing. Please see the video below. Almost 10 minutes long. Sorry. I hope you...
Yep. i found it too.. Found it on myfonts.com but it had to click on "show more fonts" a few times. Weird that it found it but puts it to like the 50th font...
Just updated to 6.14.0 version and now If I wanna print and cut the printer first cuts the vinyl and then prints on it?!?!? Really weird. The printer beeps when the cut is done and also beeps when print starts?! I don't think it beeped like this. It makes me look at the printer because I think...
i have been there and done that. 8-10 "empty" cartridges can give you a full 440cc cartridge. I usually just stand up the cartridge, cut the paper on top and bottom ( alongside the edge) and hit it with the hammer along the edge starting from the back. It will pop open.
I have done this for a...
About versaworks, roland and spot colors in my experience:
I believe when you work with spot colors it shouldn't matter if the file is rgb, cmyk or saved as eps or pdf.
As long as versaworks recognizes the spot color ( make sure under file format the convert to spot color is checked)
The only...
I had a guy who came back to our shop yelling and pulled up crooked on our slanted driveway and whipped out a water bubble level and put on the bottom of the text and i was like.... are you serious?!?!?! :D
You think getting a ppt file is bad? i had a customer who gave me a tiny tiny pic that he wanted me to put on a whole side of a sprinter. He told me to put that pixelated small pic on a 4k tv and use a good professional camera to take a pic of the screen.................
care to post some pictures to show us what he found crooked? i had customers where they wanted me to follow a body line that was crooked as hell and I had to explain why I have to make the text straight relative to the car not just that body line. problem with removing the text and giving his...
Has anyone tried this? Thinking about getting an ecotank printer and when the ink runs out I wonder if we could use eco solvent 2 inks. I have dozens of old cartridges that the Roland wide format printer won't take no more but I know there is still like a 100ml in each cartridge.
First of all store your files on a NAS. i don't think the windows ransomware can hit that. About the software.... to be honest with you i don't use anything on my work pc. At home I use eset nod32 for like 2 decades now.
Can you pull ink from the top of the dampers? I had a choke valve fail on me. Stuck closed or something. Disconnect the tube from the damper and try to suck ink from the cartridge.
First issue with Avery as of today is that when i try to print spot colors using avery profile ( roland versaworks) it completely messes up the colors. The ink outputs are totally different what it should be and prints totally different shades for all the colors. Since ink limit is different i...
