what happened with your faith in HP? bad dealer experience or is it with hp? starting a new business having experience on both sides of epson, hp, seiko, Roland and mimaki...selling, operating and serving, I still chose hp. its not the fastest, nor the best iq...but it gives you the most range...
  3. S40 vs S80 Gamut

the s40 is lightyears better than the s30. the 30 50 70 had major issues...all resolved with the 40 60 80 you can run the 80 as 9/c then switch to metallic or white and back again whenever you want...personally I'd buy 2 s40 in lieu of the 80...

  5. Oce Colorado 1640 Brittle Media

that's an awful lot of money to commit to a printer that cannot print on sav. I think these things are 60k....I know gen 1 was buggy...good luck to the early adopters for gen2....I know they are offering per click charge/sq'....I certainly would never buy one....I could get 6 s40's for that...

  11. What are your thoughts on the S80600?

Not sure why profiles are scarce...your epson tech should have loaded a program kinda similar to the HP that lets you search and download profiles for the printer...there re hundreds for the s80 and 40...now the 60 is another story. They don't sell many 60's and if it were my money I would buy 2...
  12. Taking delivery of our new Summa F1612 next week, what else should I know?

let me restate that...I actually love the product. Its more of a finishing device than an actual router. It can rout everything...just needs to be in multiple passes for cut quality. The rotary converter is the way to go...I bought mine from American Rotary when I installed my R-series. I have...
  13. Taking delivery of our new Summa F1612 next week, what else should I know?

if you plan to cut .040 aluminum or wood frequently you should spend the extra dough on the HF router...the press is no more than a dremel. I hear the newer version of software is much better. Very reliable, accurate and fast cutting of roll goods.

  18. Epson S80600 stuck at a prompt, need a solution.

Printers that swap ink in and out need to have enough ink to complete the process. You should have the balance of the cleaning cartridges from install that can also be used. so better production practices will help you in the future. Always have 2 cleaning cartridges so you are never stuck...

  20. 310/360 series decent useage for a used printer?

You can purchase a post warranty for a used latex 360. HP actually has a flat fee for repair if you blow out an ink line or main board. I wouldn’t spend more than 4500 for a used 360 at this point. You can run a usage report before you buy...or get the serial number and call hp for a service...
