  1. Suggestions Website, sales, marketing...etc

Do you mind sending me a link as well? We're using wix for our site too and would love to see how you have your site set up. Have been considering adding these options to our site. Thanks!
  2. Flat Bed Cutter Recommendations

Thanks, I've tried that. It helps sometimes but it's still frustrating that there can't be a simple drag and adjust option for where the segments are. Even Gsplot lets you do that for paneling!
  3. Flat Bed Cutter Recommendations

Also, the ability to control segments would be huge! Every RIP software has the option to control tiles, not sure why they overlooked this (especially given the lack of accuracy when cutting w/ segments) in GoProduce.
  4. Need Help VG-540 Grainy/Less detailed Quality Sticker Prints

Where it says "Media Type", try experimenting with different options. I see you're already printing with High Quality setting @ 900x900dpi - you might want to see if there are any other media types that will allow you to print at a higher resolution. I'm not familiar with that exact model...
  5. Need Help VG-540 Grainy/Less detailed Quality Sticker Prints

Nozzle check still looks decent. What profile/print settings are you using? Can you use a higher resolution/pass profile and see if the quality improves?
  6. Need a 40'x 8' and a 40'x 10' -13 ounce banner printed in Canada, does anybody have a recommendation. I live in Western Canada.

We've ordered from Process Color a couple of times before, no complaints.
  7. Flat Bed Cutter Recommendations

As an other F1612 owner, I agree 100%. Pros: With barcode workflow, you can send down full rolls of media to kiss-cut then through-cut (or any other combination) and walk away Mostly works well for kiss-cutting or through cutting vinyl, banner, coroplast etc. Works okay for routing things...
  8. Where can I donate a Mutoh Valuejet 1304?

Good to know, thanks! Time to pull that old tank apart lol.
  9. Where can I donate a Mutoh Valuejet 1304?

Do you think it's worth doing this with a 9 year old Roland XR-640? We're just about to send it off to an electronic recycling place and I'm wondering if it's worth pulling the boards.
  10. Wall Wrap with Avery Supreme Wrapping Film

Did you read the original post? They're thinking of using a solid wrapping cast film, so no printing involved.
  11. Small wrap shop ready to upgrade printer, advice

Yeah it's really well priced, even more impressive when you see how nice/fast it prints. I think you're supposed to wait at least 6 hours.....? I haven't really tested that but we'll still let prints off-gas overnight before laminating. From the brochure: Same day lamination - just 6 hours...
  12. Small wrap shop ready to upgrade printer, advice

We just upgraded to an Epson S60600 and are really happy with it. Inks dry very quickly despite how fast it is. If you're doing volume it might be worth checking out the S60600L with bulk ink, you pay a bit more for the printer but ink costs are lower. We've got 5k sqft printed on ours and no...
  13. S101 slow for anyone else?

Has been slow for a while for me, thought it was maybe just BitDefender lagging while blocking all the ads and warning me this site is "unsafe". Wouldn't even load the home page earlier.
  14. 3 Sign Shops Closed

If you have other avenues/income streams, which it sounds like you do, and don't have the want/need/desire to go all in and grow the business, then set the pace that you're happy with. Bump your minimums, make your turnaround times whatever they need to be realistically and if people don't like...
  15. Deposit / need more money

Kind of a side note, but this might be the time to commit to your quoted prices. We very rarely adjust invoices after jobs are done - the quoted price is what the customer pays unless there is a major unforeseen catastrophe. I don't like getting billed anything different than what was...
  16. Late fee?

Most of our customers have net 30 terms and don't abuse it. The odd bigger construction company gives themselves Net 60 or "End of next month" terms, but we let it slide. We recently revoked a long-time (not great) customer's payment terms. They would get past 60 days, then start making...
  17. Discussion Using stand/take-up off old Roland?

Yeah ours was good for a long time, until it wasn't. Definitely paid for itself a few times though. We got an Epson S60600, really happy with it so far. Interface and design is quite different from our old Rolands but we love it. No built in cutter (plotter or sheet cutter for that...
  18. Thrive

Hey Pauly, I haven't heard of this before, do you have more info? Thanks.
  19. Discussion Using stand/take-up off old Roland?

Nice! How complicated does it seem to get it wired up? Any pics/tips? I have no electrical experience but do have a good friend who's an experienced electrician. I'll be taking the printer off the stand this week and I guess scrapping it, haven't found another use for that part yet.
