  2. OK, now what

The funny thing is I've been a member here for much longer than that..........just had to make a new account a few years back. Either way, I'm not getting into a pissing contest with a newb.
  3. OK, now what

    Lol, thanks for that.
  4. OK, now what

Yes you are. You're assuming that every member on this forum is just sitting around waiting to fix your issues for free while deciphering your half ass posts. Looking back at the several threads that you've started in the short time that you've been here, looks like you did receive several...

  6. Question Edit Text from Within Onyx (Postershop)?

Resaving in Acrobat shouldn't affect the layers as far as I know....I'll have to do a little test.
  7. HP Latex 800 upgrade to Canon Colorado 1650

Hey Sean, I know it's not what you're asking, but we've had decent success printing double sided banners on our UCJV - is there a reason you're not doing both sides on it? Definitely not trying to talk you out of a Colorado (I'd trade our UCJV for one in a heartbeat if I could) but just curious...
  8. Question Edit Text from Within Onyx (Postershop)?

It should be easily doable from Acrobat Pro - is that something your operator could potentially handle?
  9. Need Help Banding with black ink on gloss metallic cut vinyl.

Can you try with another profile at 720x1440 dpi (high quality)? Or try changing from bidirectional to unidirectional and see if that helps.
  10. Need Help Banding with black ink on gloss metallic cut vinyl.

Including information about your printer, rip, profiles etc etc would be helpful. Have you tried a profile with more passes or adjusting feed calibration for that media?
  11. Sharpcut Debris Vacuum Alternatives?

That's sweet! How loud is it when it's running?
  12. Templating a vehicle

I've never done anything exactly like that, but what I've done in the past is lay down application tape, trace, scan (in sections if you have to) then draw vector paths with the pen tool. Then cut a test piece on cheap vinyl (through cut if you can) and paste up, make notes and adjust from...
  13. Bob Herrington on here?

Is he from Ontario (Canada)? If so I should have his contact info somewhere.........
  14. Sharpcut Debris Vacuum Alternatives?

Following........we're also looking for a similar solution for our Summa F1612. PVC/ACM/Acrylic chips are no fun cleaning up when the shop vac fills up!
  15. UV flatbed

Direct UV print will increase your production speed because you're loading a sheet on it and hitting print, compared to loading a roll, printing it, cutting if off, laminating, mounting etc etc. (We went from mounting vinyl to direct print many years ago) With that being said (and this will...
  16. houston area

Great! We also usually back it up w/ 651 white, unless we're going for the translucent look.
  17. houston area

Doesn't even have to be optically clear......we used 3651 clear for this and have never had an issue.
  18. Dimense printer - cutting

That's definitely not ideal. What does Dimense say about best finishing methods?
  19. Deep reds on Canon Colorado 1650

I hadn't heard of this on the Colorados but have definitely seen it on our Mimaki UCJV. Makes profiling and color matching real fun....
  20. Deep reds on Canon Colorado 1650

We're actually doing this on a Roland XR-640 through Versaworks so not the same exact workflow.....but I seem to remember you being able to do something similar in Onyx.
