They said it's been in development for 5 years. The white UVgel is the same as the CMYK, so they dont break up / separate like traditional UV inks.
Honestly, the white ink of the colorado is in a different league. It's super bright. and it's real dense.
I can't see HP being any competition...
mines only designed to calculate flat sheets. the only thickness option is in the material. for example if it's 10mm MDF or 16mm MDF. you can choose the thickness like that. But if you're calculating boxes, etc that's a whole different formula.
We got to be the first in the worlds to see the new Coloado M series in action (apart from the guys at canon). Really neat show they put on.

SwissQprint have Neon inks, they only last a few days to a week outdoors.
cant remember the indoor rating. indoor was really good, but the outdoor UV kills the neon inks.
We got invited to see it in action tomorrow.
It's a high volume printer. these printers need to be running regularly.
Also -
Ink has a shelf life and as they're bottles, they fill the internal tanks 1L at a time.
If the ink expires in the tanks, you risk damaging the heads etc, void...
That's all it's suppose to do which is all i need it to do.

you'll never be at the same price as someone with a faster, more efficient process. And so on.
We use a pretty complex calculator to calculate our products. We've just built a whole custom calculator running on our server just to calculate pricing.

having everything in 1 software, although it sounds nice, sometimes it's better not to.
It's better to have software being excellent at 1 job, than being average at a lot of jobs.

We print on glass every day for wet areas (Splashbacks, bathrooms, laundries etc and some outdoor applications)

What's the application of the glass?
A dividing wall? a splashback? or a decorative piece...
I run all default settings. 500mm segments. with 1000mm (1m) prints.
Half way up the print (at the 1st segment) It's off my 3-5mm.
