Close all your programs down, then go through these steps: Open System by clicking the Start button , right-clicking Computer, and then clicking Properties. In the left pane, click Advanced system settings. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password...
  2. Boxworks 2013

    Nice work.
  3. F-150 decal kit how it's made ?

^^^^ Or something designed to have the holes/lines in it and printed that way.
  4. print and cut to graphtec fc7000

I know in Flexi, once you put a contour cut on an item, you can specify the target be printed to be compatible with the Graphtec plotter. I have not used that function for a Graphtec in at least two years, but I was able to use the function successfully at my previous shop, and use it all the...
  5. Help with printed RED.

I have pretty good results with Flexi's default RGB palette Red. PMS485 PC looks very bright on our Mutoh, as well.
  6. Buying a Cutter !

I'll toss in my vote for Graphtec- and, as a number of others said, get the 54" at least. I've also had good luck with the Mimaki CG-160FX.
  7. CUTTING: How do I adjust "pre feed" speed

I would assume it's in your machine's settings somewhere, but I'm not familiar with what you named. If not, I know Flexi's Production Manager has machine settings in it, as well. Perhaps your software does, too.
  8. Wait.....WHAT??????

Sorry, I missed that it was one material only. In that case, I would guess a defect- a contaminant somewhere in their process is getting on the material. We had that happen with a roll of Sihl banner material- but it was something like every four feet, there'd be a streak where the inks wouldn't...
  9. Software to run CNC Machine.

Try writing it. In the early 90s, I worked for a waterjet company and had to do the programming (CAM was new and we hadn't switched yet). I was so freaking happy when we finally got a program to do that for me- even if it did take more than an hour to do some of the coding.
  10. Removing reflective from aluminum street signs

Agreed... ... scrap them and start new.
  11. Wait.....WHAT??????

My guess is the pinch rollers, too. And yes- I think on some materials it would be more evident because of the heat settings (material gets a little softer, so the marks show up).
  12. Software to run CNC Machine.

I wish I hadn't deleted the e-mail the sales rep sent me- he/she told me Vectric didn't have a program that would suit my needs. I thought it was strange, but I assumed (yes, I know) they knew the capabilities of what they had.
  13. Software to run CNC Machine.

    Yeah- it can't.
  14. Software to run CNC Machine.

G-Code is what actually makes your table do what you want it to. Pretty much no design software will output it- that's why we're stuck with using additional programs. I just downloaded the Mach3 trial- I'm interested in seeing how it looks.
  15. Software to run CNC Machine.

We're going through a similar issue. In addition to a router, we also have two engravers and a laser and I'm trying to encourage the higher-ups to go with one program that will run all four machines- in the interest of being able to easily cross-train staff so workflow won't suffer if someone is...
  16. VJ-1624 Service Manual

http://www.mutoh.com/kb/ You can usually find what you need there.
  17. Printing/contour cutting accuracy?

Normally, all it takes is a little attention to detail. I'm not claiming I get perfectly aligned cuts, but I do alright. First thing to do is make sure the print is true. Our Mutoh has an alignment feature that lets you make sure distances are correct and even the old p.o.s. DGI I ran at my...
  18. White Static Cling

Absolutely That's not going to work, unfortunately. There's most definitely a "print side" and a "stick (static) side" to that material. I have yet to think of a use for white static cling other than interior retail- where the first surface application isn't exposed to the elements (or...
  19. Attention Oldies...

After being in this business on and off since the early 80s and full-time since '97, I'd like to think I know it all. That's not reality, though, and I love learning new tricks/short-cuts/etc. If you can show me/explain why an alternate way is better than what I've asked for, by all means, do...
