  1. What vinyl are you printing your stickers onto, and why?

I LOVE Substance Media. They are a direct manufacturer and seller. They have been great to work with and will send test rolls out too. https://www.substanceincorporated.com
  2. 5 x10 ACM

Could try: Polymer Shapes, Laird Plastics, NGlantz, Far From Normal...
  3. My Summa really bugs me...

It's a setting that makes sure there is enough slack so it doesn't tug on the roll. Since that will mess up your cut too. It's a catch 20/20. I have turned it off then forgot to feed out the material and it happened. I have the older model, so I am not sure where the setting is on the new one.
  4. Suggestions CUSTOM COASTER MATERIALS

I got some super thick coaster/pulp board from Lindenmeyr Munroe that works great. It's ~28x40 sheets. Fischers Paperboard also carries it. I print on my Fuji UV and cut out on my Summa Flatbed cutter without any issues. It does cut better with the oscillating knife.
  5. Reflective

Get in touch with George at Nikkalite! Their stuff is awesome and priced better than anyone. It's a standard reflective with air release, so the tack is very strong. I tried the Arlon, but for regular decals, the initial tack wasn't strong enough. gtamayori@nikkalite.com, (562)777-1810
  6. Discussion Efi Flatbed printers

I have been looking at the Pro16H for a while now. Good to hear from someone that has one. So you would recommend that printer to someone?
  7. Epson s80600 - Orange Red durability

I haven't noticed any fading with mine either.
  8. Lexan Commercial Labels

Size? Quantity? How thick of lexan?
  9. January 20, 2020

I got the 2019 Mac version and I am glad I did the subscription, especially now that I have heard 2020 is coming out soon. I just got it to be able to open random Corel files I get, as I use Illustration mostly. It has been very buggy and crashes a lot!
  10. Additional Pinch Rollers

I added 2 additional ones to my S140T and LOVE it!! I think it tracks a lot better!!
  11. Suggestions Entry level hybrid UV printer

I too looked at the Roland, but ended up going with the Fuji Acuity LED1600. So far it has been great! It has its limits being pinch fed, but has done what I needed it to do so far.
  12. Vinyl with no markings on liner

I use their stuff all of the time and have had great luck with it. If there is any shrinkage, it's so minimal that I don't even notice it. Give Matt a call. They are willing to send samples to test out.
  13. Vinyl with no markings on liner

    Substance Media!!
  14. Need Help upgrading to Mimaki

I have been looking at these too. I was just hoping they would make a 2531EX soon as I would rather have the larger bed.
  15. Need Help New Equipment

I cut some 2" square plates out of 1.6mm plastic on my Summa F. Just use tabs.
  16. Summa F-Series Cutting Through Carrier Tape

The Summa F would hand that fine. Just be a matter of setting up your file for the 2 different cuts, then remembering not to remove the crop marks when weeding out the graphics.
  17. Taking delivery of our new Summa F1612 next week, what else should I know?

I had a driver blow on the pcb board a couple of times. That either happens from taking the tool off without telling the machine first or a power surge. I am the only one using my cutter and always do that properly. So it had to have been a power surge. I run mine off of a digital 3 phase...
  18. Taking delivery of our new Summa F1612 next week, what else should I know?

One other recommendation, add a surge protector for your new 3phase line!! This machine does NOT like power surges. ;)
  19. Taking delivery of our new Summa F1612 next week, what else should I know?

I have had my F1612 for about 1.5 years now. I am having the front extension table installed next week. There hasn't been anything that I have needed done that this couldn't do. I couldn't image my shop now with out it. I am a one man shop, so I can't comment on speed as I hit cut and go do...
  20. What are your thoughts on the S80600?

I use an S80 with Caldera and use it often to with print/cut jobs on my Summa F. I have never had a registration issue. The quality is awesome! I do create my own profiles with an i1io table.
