I 100% agree on your post. Last week I turned down a personal scooter wrap and some motorcycle decals, also a corvette wrap removal for a guy who didn't plan to rewrap. I suggested he buy a heat gun and hire a teenager lol
I'll be printing on translucent for the first time on my HP Latex 115 late next week. I would like to know what material would you suggest and many people talk about doing 2 passes. I'm not sure how I go about doing that on my printer, or is there a specific setting you would suggest? It is a...
Years ago I sold basic race car number sets on EBay. It was worth it but the cheapest thing I sold was around $60.
I've sold a lot of wood stenciled signs on Etsy and if you have a lot of orders it's OK but if it trickles in it becomes a PITA and not worth the time. I used to "do all my etsy...
I was thinking this also. I have been replacing quite a few signs around my area (done by other signmakers) in which the laminate is failing BEFORE the print! No idea the combo of materials but I would much rather take my chance with cut vinyl than add laminate which could fail before the vinyl...
Thanks everyone you make me look like
I know what I’m doing [emoji23] what you are saying makes sense, I also thought they didn’t look very strong!

Yes, these are for inside a boardroom. Yes, clear with the logo printed on contour cut vinyl in the center. The customer is going to install but I said I would include the spacers.
I have a job for 2 acrylic signs sized at 5' x 6' and they will have 1" spacer from the wall.
Is 1/4" correct?
How many spacers - one on each corner and one on each side centered?
My first time doing this so I'm not sure how stiff or flexible this is at that size. Thank you!
I denied a lady yesterday who called and said she had a "wholesaler account with Jiffy Shirts" but they were out of Gildan orange (?) and wanted me to get them from "my company" and sell them to her at my price - "because she has a wholesaler account to".
She has a cricket in her basement and...
I had a good experience with custom items for a while, and then just like that...NOTHING - it went out of style and everyone had them (painted, stenciled wood signs). As long as I could make several at a time, it was worth it. If I only had 1-2 orders a week, it became of time sucker away from...
Brandsofheworld.com sometimes has some of these copyrighted items. I would only print these if you have a customer in need of repairing or replacing current decals, in the case of an accident or repaint. You will get busted if you mass produce.
....my boyfriends son LOL He's the only one out the 5 of our boys that isn't handy. I never understood why he was in the house doing dishes and laundry on Saturdays and the other boys were outside cutting wood, changing oil, etc. ...well, now I know LOL
My son would rather bail 100# bails of...
I can! I remember that from architectural class, right??? My favorite ruler is the pica pole. I use it all the time, it's quicker to read than a tape measure for small stuff.
I suppose you are right. I was scared into learning how to read a tape measure and other boy things. My Dad had no sons and even less patience for idiots. Do it or listen to the wrath of made up swear words LOL
Practice. I like a tweezers for most things. Maybe I'll try that finger thing James showed! Tell him it has to get done before he leaves, maybe that will speed up the process.
I was thinking about this post over the weekend. I had a customer last week ask me if I was hiring. Her grandson teenager has a plotter at home and dabbles with graphics. Considering my other kid quit for Walmart and my son has no interest, and his own summer job, I think I should talk with him...
