Not a carver by any means but I keep telling myself I might by a nice starter set just to play with. Lay out a pattern on plotter, pounce and wail away, lol. I love woodworking. Kudos to the op for wanting to get into craft and then maybe volume. Great way to start.
I have a tv in my office and still room. The still room has a small pa hooked up from my former rock star lifestyle, lol. Music any more is just background but when I am spending long stretches in still room I either put on a movie or plug in my ipod which has everything my kids and I have...
Sounds like you got a handle on it, unplug, lock the carriage and go. Maybe a cap fill prior to unplugging just to keep heads good and wet. Remember how many hands it took to get it in and get a few more. Down can be a toughie.
You'll need to buy a lot more than 10 or 20k. Back in the early 90's I used to split container trucks with a friend, we both screen printed a lot of political signs. By the truck load was about the best price we could manage.

We opened our distillery and sold to the public for the first time this past weekend. Retirement plan in full effect. I am having a ball making rum. I am keeping my old and faithful sign and screen print customer base and slowing everything else down.

All about the quality. The warning labels on liquor bottles have very fine print and my graphic in our rum logo is highly detailed. Then we made it fun by having them print it on Kraft paper which tends to be a problem in itself sometimes. They did an excellent job.
Discount Labels. Been using them for years. Just had them print my rum labels and government warnings. We are using brown kraft paper with adhesive back. Not your usual request but they nailed it. As usual.
Kinda like JR, this and a notebook. I'm an old fart so it has a space for a small thumbnail sketch. One of the most used pieces of info on it is the artwork file saved as section, lol.
Been broken into once. About 500 in damage for about 50 in petty cash. Cops had film of guy who did it and his fingerprints on a check he got from a desk at office that he had forged and was trying to cash as a paycheck at grocery store. They called me to verify employment. Cops still didn't...
