I just sold my SP300-V which I had converted to run on windows 10
I was just wondering if the BN-20 worked the same as other new printers. I really have no use right now for buying another printer.
For me the day the local Roland dealer service manager told me that my printer is a legacy printer and that they would no longer service it I was fine with everything he said until he told me they would also no longer sell me any parts for it either which I thought was just another way of trying...
This entire problem with serving your own printer once it is out of warranty is really crazy!!
You own it and paid for it, yet they still want to control what you can do to it.
Not to mention they that they have devalued your printer my locking everyone out of service mode except their own...
Vector Capital sold Corel to KKR in 2019.
Private equity firms usually do not keep any companies they purchase more than 4 or 5 years because of the way they structure their finance agreements.
They will spin Corel off to another Private Equity firm will mild the company for another 4 or 5...
I believe that the Roland DX-4 heads if that is what your printer uses are made by Epson and not Roland.
I have used Digiprint with some success, but I also ordered through them only to realize after waiting for weeks that they did not have the parts I needed in front of them.
I purchased both...
The date I see on the Junction Board is 11-14-20 is that the date it was made?
If so that would be 11 years after they discontinued making the SP-300V
Just wondering. Jim
My Roland SP-300V works just fine.
I have been servicing my printer myself for years and to be honest with you, I would rather have the older model Roland printer that I can put in service mode if I need to.
When I purchased this printer back in 2010 I had no idea how to even use but over the...
You might want to contact Ernie Viveiros who lives in the North Port area. I do not have his phone number and I have never used him for his services.
The name of his business is Ernie Viveiros Graphics
I do know that he does Technical work of Roland and Mimaki printers.
Hope that helps you. Jim
It sounds to me like somewhere between the ink cartridge and the printing process you have a slight air leak which can produce the effects you are having.
First question is are your dampers new and are they OEM or after market? I have seen brand new after market dampers that did not work...

I have tried a few different companies in China, and I also use some parts from sources that advertise here on the Roland posts.
Here are a few:
solventinkjet.com
inkjetperformance.com
solventinkonline.com
Hope that helps you out.
Jim
The products I print are around 6" X 10" and I only need it for limited runs of 10 at a time.
Everything I print will be used outside, so which printer should I be looking at that uses ECO Solvent inks?
My old Roland was a 30" model.
Thanks, Jim
My SP-300 works every day and prints perfectly, and I have many spare parts just in case something needs replacing.
Since I cannot buy the parts of Roland, there are a number of companies in China making reproduction parts and yes they just fine, and I have had no problems.
I still use Roland...
One person posted this reply: He never mentioned his model number. Only 5+ years. So I am assuming his product reached his end of life.
Now that is what I call built in obsolesce.
Many manufacturers do this today with many products, from appliances to car parts to wide format printers.
