I was just reading the Manuel for my SP-300 and just wondering if I am reading this correctly.
It say's "you can connect either tube from the cap tops to either tube of the pump"
Thanks for your help Jim
When I blew the same fuse on my SP-300V I went to the auto parts store and purchased an inline fuse holder and soldered one end to one side of the fuse and the other end to the other side of the fuse and then installed the correct size fuse. This way if it ever happens again it just a simple...
Thank you for the advice on cleaning the wipers every other day. It also made me think because I have been using after market wipers!
The problem with cross contamination is isolated to just the magenta and yellow head. The magenta was being pulled back into the yellow damper.
The problem right...
I cannot ask my Roland Dealer any questions about my SP-300 because once they found out that I had changed both heads on my printer and that I did not buy the New Print Heads from Roland the service manger told me they would no longer help me with any questions or parts!
If Roland finds out you...
Yes I have changed the cap tops many times over the past nine years that I have owned the printer.
Cross contamination is one of the hardest problems to track down. I started with New Roland OEM cap tops and when that did not correct the problem I started from the manifold and worked my way all...
Corel is really trying a few different things to get me to subscribe. First it was $199.00 then $179.99 and tonight it's $169.99
I wonder if there having problems getting me to sign up.
Jim
Well it appears not many people know very much about the capping station.
If anyone knows even the part numbers for the capping station that would be a big help.
I have the Manuel for the SP-300 but the copy I received did not include parts numbers for some reason. So I am looking at the photos...
I would try all of the simple fixes first!
Such as replacing the cap tops with Roland OEM Cap Tops.
Making sure all the dampers are working and that they do not have any air leak like around the little rubber O ring on the tube going into the dampers.
The problems with the Roland Printers is...
I have not tried using any manifolds from China. I do use dampers and that is about the only thing I have had decent luck using.
I tried using their cap tops but that created more problems then it fixed for me.
Now I only use Roland OEM cap tops. They cost more but they also seem to last longer...
When my printer sits over night the next morning the printing looks bad like there is not enough ink.
If I connect my tapered syringe to the hose under each cap top and pull ink through the lines it prints perfectly.
My question about the capping station what are the signs when it is going bad...
It took me some time but I have finally fixed the cross contamination problem.
I changed the damper and replaced it along with the rubber O ring for damper. I also cut off a short section of the tubing before installing the new O ring.
I pulled ink into damper with a tapered syringe from the...
One other thing that some times gets over looked is the rubber O ring on the tube connected to the damper.
It's a good idea to install a New O ring but to cut off a piece of the tubing before you install a New O ring. That could also create a small air leak.
We all change cap tops but how many...
A big part of the problem is that private equity firms are killing American business and jobs once they take over a company and then milk the company for every last penny and then sell what left to another smaller private equity firm that continues where the first one left off.
There is a...
trying to figure out why the yellow damper is getting magenta in it.
I have replaced the dampers a few times along with New Roland cap tops.
My printer is sitting perfectly level. I have always used Roland Inks.
One question when I replace the damper I always pull the ink through the hole on...
Just wondering if the capping station for an SP-300 is still available or if that is no longer being made.
So far mine is fine but the SP-300 was brand new in 2004 so it still has the original capping station and it make me nervous thinking that some day I may not be able to find either an OEM...
So if I understand this correctly if my version of X-8 that I paid for is located on my desktop computer Corel can disable it if I do not agree to pay another $199.00 dollars plus pay the monthly subscription price?
I must admit if this is the case it is Black Mail!!!
Jim
I you are still having problems it might be time to contact someone for help.
The problem is some Roland dealers might not be willing to send out a tech since you have already started working on your printer.
I made a mistake one time when I went to the dealer to purchase a fuse and the guy who...
What you should do is convert your SP-300 to an SP-300V and then you can use windows 10 if you would like and you also can use VersaWorks software which has the drivers you need included with it.
Another plus is it makes your SP-300V worth more money when you go to sell it someday.
My SP-300...
