Let me understand this better. You have a 10' sign that needs graphics repaired and your looking for a pen to trace where the graphic is bad to show up on your screen so you can reproduce the damaged graphic? Need pics to help you on this.

BigBen, I think you should get a panel saw. You have to many questions about a track saw and that shows me your not a woodworker or artisan. The panel saw would suit you better. Easy to use and not complicated for what you need it for.
I cut 1/2" acrylic on my table saw all the time. The track saw has no problem with it either.
If I am cutting numerous pieces of acrylic I let them cut my pieces. They have the large computer saw that cuts everything really accurate and clean cut edges.
I also do my gradients in Photoshop and save as a .psd file. Place it in Illustrator and save as a .pdf and check all the boxes pertaining to gradients.
I played Little League when I was young and mothers would bring cookies and drinks for the team after the games. I remember one mother asked me one time if I had a mother because she never saw my father or mother at any of my games. I sad "of course I had a mother, how do you think I was born?"...
