ha, yeah. each printer at officeworks prints completely different.

Im not even in America and i know this. Office Depot is similar to our Office Works. Alost every officeworks has 1 or 2 large format printers. some of ours outsource to larger printonly companies. quality is generally crap. but some people just need something printed and dont know where to go.

Show us your nozzle check. and print the ship print. see if it does the same issue. - If it does, it's hardware. If it doesn't, something with your file or RIP.

Im looking for a gamut viewing/mapping software (3D) to compare ICC profile colour gamuts in 3D and other configs. Similar to colorthink pro, but with out all the aditional features which i'll never use. Also has to be something modern, not designed for windows XP. not overly priced either...

i dont know what VD or ND means either. I would assume VD Variable Dot. but probabl wrong. do you have the right driver installed in onyx? have you tried a different print resolution?

How about before purchasing equipment. You start off outsourcing your work and see if you can actually get any rather than spending money on equipment you’ll use once a week or so and let them cost you money over time. you and your buddies should first find a trade printer. then start looking...

I don't use labelling, but i believe that's improved. Swatchbooks are better (for me anyway) as it allows me to print and measure patches with my barberi devices. much faster rip times allows for multi threading. Probably other improvements. You can just get the 30 day trial and try for yourself.

Well yes, if you want faster ripping times, you need a better processor. Not so much RAM. Im not sure how caldera work with how many images it can RIP at once, but onyx will do 2 files per printer licence. if you have 1 printer, it'll RIP 2 files at a time. 2 printer licences, 4 files at a time...
