  1. Avery's new catalog...

Have you guys seen the new Avery Catalog? I guess they decided to try to update their image, but I couldn't help notice one of their "completed" photos. They have the photo of the bike tank, and the graphics on it are obviously photo shoped on. You would think that they would use real...

  3. You at your workstation.

Thats along the lines of what mine is... At one time I had so much on my desk, I added an adjustable shelf on the wall behind the desk to raise my monitor up above the clutter... But I'm proud of myself...I spent Monday cleaning the shop, and going through and throwing away stuff that had...

  8. Anyone going to the Harbor Expo Aug 3?

I wanted to go, but I had other matters that prevented it. As far as the facility, that place is huge. I have had some stuff routed there, and the lady that runs the router department is super nice. She let me come back and check it out. She gave me some tips as far as my own router (an old...

:banghead: I just had a customer hand me a business card asking me about lettering their back window of thier car, and I shot him a price, and mentioned that I did cards as well, and he said that he just got them from "VistaDouche" :ROFLMAO: (that's good, I'm using that from now on)... I...
  11. Maybe not quite the right place, but.................

"Objective: To learn and create, and be happy doing it." Yeah, ok... Round file it.
  12. First 3D letter sign, How to attach?

I use pad mounting for all my Gemini installs. You will still want combo all pads, and drill for the stud. That way you have a center point to locate the pads, and they won't slide. I always use 100% silicone for installs

  17. STRANGE email request POSSIBLE DANGER?

I got a message from Comcast that read roughly the same thing, and that I needed to go on and update some info. I looked really close, and it came from the address of concast.com... I could see that little trick fooling a lot of people.
  18. mounting a sandblasted sign

From what I am seeing, you have a sign that is 2' tall x 4' wide, and one that is 3' tall x 4' tall, one stacked on top of another, between (2) 4 x 4's... I personally would fabricate a rectagular tubing mount to mount the signs to. If your thinking wood 1x4's, I wouldn't trust that. too much...
  19. Beer!

I'm not too much of a beer drinker, maybe a couple a month, and I have simple tastes...miller lite, or sam adams. You know, dogfish is only about an hour from me.
  20. Avery (shudder) true shadow vinyl

I don't use avery at all, so I don't keep up with their offerings. Hell, I'd be hard pressed to even lay my hands on a color chart, maybe in a junk box somewhere. The oracal looks like it will work perfect. When my job comes to light, I've factored in to buy a 50 yard roll.
