  2. Another Big Squeegee Video

Thanks for posting the video. I like the BS, have all the various sizes, and use mine occasionally... but only occasionally cause I dont print everyday. I notice that in most videos I have seen demonstrating the BS, most folks lift the trailing edge (edge closest to your body) like you did...
  3. Dodge report / Mcgraw hill worth the $??

I used to buy Dodge Reports and CMD back when they mailed you the little slips of paper every day and I was a regular at my local "Blue Room". We haven't subscribed for many years now and I have always wondered just how much things have changed with the internet version available now. What...
  4. Installation question about drilling into brick

Most walkways are loose-laid pavers over a compacted sand or rock dust base. You cannot attach anything to them. You will probably have to do it the way Gino says, and you may need to open a much wider area than you plan to in order to pour enough of a concrete or rockite base to hold things up.
  5. Just a lil fishing advice

Right-o the trolling motor wrastlin' was the best. Awesome display.
  6. Gotta Love

Thats just awesome! Thanks for posting that one.
  7. Time to get a real ladder truck

G- Building that seems more dangerous than using it. Brad- neighbor can swing 30,000 for a tractor but a longer ladder is out of the question.

  12. going to buy a router

I really hate to say (and I am not a doomsday proponent) it but thats good advice. I kinda half agree that the markets that most signmakers & cabinet makers are after is pretty much done in most of the US. Unless you are already in a business and are currently selling a product that the added...
  13. Virus Scare . . .

Did the virus uninstall AVG on it's somehow? On that subject.. which would be better.. AVG or Avast?
  14. Check Off Sheets

Completely do it in your head before you actually do it. This is also how you estimate the cost of any sign project from a price tag to a pylon.
  15. I need someone to clean up the formatting of a couple word docs.

We have a couple contract documents that we use as templates on a daily basis They are very dated and unprofessional looking. I need someone with an expert command of either word perfect or ms word to rework these and clean them up to look much more professional and hopefully be easier for us to...
  16. How to remove this face?

I can't really tell what you have by the pic. If it is a flat acrylic/lexan face then you might put the suction cups on the mountain area and tie them to the structure above with a couple straps. If you are careful this will hold so that you can get the bottom retainer off and slip it down that...
  17. Retail Packaging

I don't know what your content is, but for most expamples I can think of, you should try to NOT make this look mass produced. Packaging and bar codes really speak "Walmart" and "mass-made in China" nowadays. IMO, this really has the effect of a de-value of your offerings in the eyes of the...
  18. Who is responsible for pulling a sign permit

This is a region specific question obviously. You need to check at your local permit office. In the US, there are areas that do not have ordinances or require any permits/licenses for certain work and there are areas that wont issue permits to anyone that isnt a licensed contractor...
  19. box truck alum is leaking onto wrap

Some things you might try, but be carefull doing so... I think you are describing what RV owners call Black Streaks, and it is a result of the aluminum oils leaching. "Black Streak Remover" in the Outdoor Sports/RV section at Walmart... Also "Awesome" at Family Dollar Stores... also "Greased...
  20. ?'s about cutting .060 aluminum with utility knife...

With good hold-down... I use Onsrud 63-025, 12,200 RPM, X&Y @ 1 IPS, Z @ .40 IPS, stepdown of .125 or less (.060" is single pass material). I have a straight cut file set up on the router computer (one for X, one for Y) for straight cuts of the table width or length right on the fly without...
