We send the cut files from Onyx Cute Server to another PC with Summa Cutter Control running on it. Cutter Control has barcode server so nothing that happens on that pc will affect your Onyx RIP rig. The cutter will go on to cut whole rolls if they have barcodes.

Have you tried using the barcode server? That might be a better solution.

Yeah I spoke to Celmac about Aristos. There was a German bloke out here from Aristo who Wayne brought in to talk about them. While they do seem good solid machines I was a bit concerned about the software and ease of use. We have been more than happy in that regard with our Procut.

I don't own one but have seen a demo. Amazing technology, very fast machine. If you don't need to print vehicle wraps they would be great. They do fast backlits too.

As long as they get jobs out on time and don't screw up too much I don't mind them taking a breather now and then. Your staff are your most valuable resource. It pays to look after them.

We're on the Small Business plan with the smallest data. It runs in a browser, no app as far as I know. I'm using it to work out prices already, just need to get up to speed with the rest of it.

What don't you like about Corebridge? I've signed up and am going through setup now, we haven't gone live yet. I love how it gives you detailed pricing control and will show you the amount of margin on each part of the job.

The HP Latex 3100 would do the job. You will also need a laminator and a Zund cutter though.

If it was me I'd suck it up and reprint them using a different stock. It sounds like a decent order for a valuable customer.

I went to a demo day before xmas and saw one running. If I was doing enough roll volume I'd get one for sure. It is really fast even on backlit film. No good for wraps though which they freely admit.

If you really want to do it you won't take any of the naysayer's advice. Get a subscription to the Wrap Institute. Learn by doing. Wrap your own and family members cars. Make some expensive mistakes like we all have heh.

How consistent are the panel lengths mate? When printed at different times the lengths can be quite a bit off with the HP latexes.

I haven't but am sure it would do a fine job. The HP latexes are so easy and reliable I just run all that stuff on them. How much extra is the RMO if you don't mind me asking?
