I played with it more taking various logos and seeing what they might look like in use on a truck and business card. If this was a real job, I would put more time into various layouts and design the logos with more polish/finish.

That is a hot mess... keep it simple. Even this layout will be hard to read at 30mph but it might get someone's attention. You might want to add a scale person to your layout, it will give you an idea how everything scales/proportioned and see where your layout may have legibility issues...
