    Hello from Joisey!
  2. What AntiVirus Software Do You Use ? ? ?

I use MacAfee....BUT the best defense is not to download stupid stuff on your WORK computers. Its been very good for me on my personal computer at home as well though. Constantly updated by Comcast for me though my broadband. Makes it very easy to use and have yet to get a virus or anything else.
  3. Digital Media Rack?

Well if something isnt sitting for that long then its great. I get rolls of material that I have to stock and it might see the light of day once every 3 weeks if im lucky. Also Im using rolls that are quite heavy...upwards of 100#'s or more. All my smaller media stands vertical against a wall...
  4. Digital Media Rack?

Downside to what youre doing there is putting a Dent where the material sits on the wooden dowels. I know most come in boxes...BUT if you have larger diameter tubes, cut the tubes lengthwise and place the substrates in the clamshell of the tube. Prevents the denting that can cause headstrikes...
  5. LAMINATOR price

Does anyone have or have used the Ledco laminators? How are they and whats the quality overall? Opinions are greatly appreciated! Heck...a 2year warranty on that, even my SEAL rep cant do that.
  6. Cutting Mat

When these die next year....I'll give that a shot! TY WB!
  7. Cutting Mat

I picked up high-density polyethelyne (spelled correctly?) from a local plastics supply house for $65 each. The knife doesnt go though...and after you get tired of any ruts or too many cuts, just flip over and you have a new sheet! works great! Had them for almost a year...the heaviest cut...
  8. LAMINATOR price

got a link on that seal unit? I was looking at ledco units myself..but have a line on a GBC unit about an hour from me in PA. Its a big sucker too...64" hot lam and the works with it. Price difference is close to 4g's.
  9. Printing with white on clear?

It can be printed on a Flatbed/hybrid UV machine as a white underlay with CMYK overprinting that.
  10. LAMINATOR price

How does the vinyl go in...face up or down? Or does that depend on the quantity of beers weve drunk at that point?:Big Laugh
  11. LAMINATOR price

The pressure on that CII is adjusted through the knobs on either end of the unit...above the roller?? I think I used one similar to that...the fact you had to adjust each knob seperately made it difficult to get even pressures across for lamination or mounting. I think the ZJX doesnt look too...
  12. New finishing guy

Welcome from Dirty Jerz....Giants are gonna have a stuffed Eagle on the mantle after Sunday!!!
  13. best computer setup

I would personally build a box again. Instead of the 3.0gb drives I would stick with the raptors....10k spindles and a faster seek, read and write. Im using an AMD x2 4600 i think...and its great. Only bottleneck i get is when im ripping files in one particular way called "smooth Blends" on...
  14. Panel Saws

I was personally thinking of the Sign Shop 64" SawTrax....I liked the options on it with the mid-fence the fact I could move it around if I wanted to. I have lots of space here BUT not exactly sure where I want to mount this thing. Getting the flatbed in a month or so and I have to be able to...
  15. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Thanks...been looking at newegg for the past week trying to figure out the best combos for Mobo's and Processors. Ive got experiece with the similar socket 939 board on my current rip and its nice and rock steady. thanks for the info!!! :thankyou:
  16. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Colorbust doesnt take advantage of 64bit processing. The Mac Pros are nice...but its a striclty Windows based app. Running on Bootcamp would be alright...but not for a dedicated windows app.
  17. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

what Opterons and MoBo do you suggest?? Ive turned away mounting work and other stuff...dont want to do that anymore.
  18. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Im getting a Vutek PV200 Flatbed UV 6 color 600 Dpi. Already have a Vutek 3360 Six Color Solvent printer. Colorburst runs similar to Onyx. Your processors on that are single core Opterons?? Ive been looking at them too...My current RIP is a 2400+ AMD X2...dual raptors and a single Sata 2...
  19. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Nah...its strictly a WORK box. And Dell isnt worth the $$. I built one 9 months ago and its good...BUT...new printer Im going to order has higher requirements for files. The case itself will have at least 3 fans and runs cool as a cucumber.
  20. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

As a PS Rip, it does process the image quickly. Part of it is reading the file, processing it with the Temp file that the software writes then Writes the file to the HD...we're talking files anywhere from 100MB upwards of 2Gb when the files are finally Processed. Its not processing/printing at...
