  1. Question for home based businesses

John I would also say this. I think the type of client you go after greatly effects your income stability also. If you go after medium or even small business that are the type that value marketing, like some larger non-profit companies, they do a lot of printing throughout the year. It is good...
  2. Using downloadable brochures on your website.

I kinda felt that way when I read the post from one of the merchants on here posting how they are printing a few million square foot on a single project. I simply can't fathom that. I doubt I will ever fathom that, but I am grateful for what I have at the moment, for sure.

Oh, but it is worth watching over and over. This was a piece of art. Sorry, should have warned spoiler alert!
  4. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

BTW, my wife and I are thinking of moving from Charlotte NC to Northern Ca. Any words of advice :D
  5. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

I am open to learn, don't get me wrong. I apologized for the advice I gave. I was just talking about my experience. Which is possible for him to experience if he is apparently not trained correctly. Right? I have used tape on multiple sides before, but felt I pulled it true enough to tape it in...
  6. Using downloadable brochures on your website.

I brokered some very large signs to a new company in my area. I used a company that wholesales in Channel Letters, that I actually met through Signs101 now that I think of it. While that project was going on, my regular customer is remodeling a large store full of graphics, and I am actually...
  7. Ufc 148

Yes, this time he proved it. Silva got served the 1st round, but you could see it in the 2nd round, he just stood there and something came over him. He just dropped his guard, relaxed and simply destroyed Sonnen. A real modern day Bruce Lee.
  8. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

Dude you are giving me whiplash. I am taking your advice cause you are offering it, but you countered everything you just said. Confusing man
  9. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

Thanks Raged. I have gotten the strike on banner material sometimes, if I am running like a whole roll at a time and don't watch it, if it starts walking, it creates an arc of sorts by the head, and if it doesn't crash, I have witnessed it rub and leave the head marks on the media. Anyway, I am...

Beautiful last fight of the night Silva vs Sonnen. Silva got served in round 1, but wasn't having it in round two, heat beat Sonnen like a stepchild. Great UFC.
  11. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

Wow, nice to see others running over night. I think it is in how I load the take up real I suppose. First, I don't use the automatic setting for the take up real, I just have the sensor on so it activates when the media gets far enough down. Do you think by telling the machine I am going to be...
  12. Logo thread revisited (Catering Company)

    Good job, I like it!
  13. Logo thread revisited (Catering Company)

I agree, it is nice and clean and really compelling. Good job!
  14. Buying used L25500 .. advise?

To answer the OP. These machines are not good to leave unattended very long. If you are running good vehicle wrap vinyl you might get away with that for a bit, but once it starts walking on the take up reel, it needs to be corrected, as it will crash the head fairly quickly. Perf sucks on this...
  15. Using downloadable brochures on your website.

Thanks all. @ Phototec I am using a CMS program that allows for automated CSS programming or manual coding. So if one were interested they could use the automated features to start with, but eventually you need a custom look so you venture out into the manual processes. It was really awkward...
  16. our new website

I will make one suggestion, add something to your "about" page. The whole page is text, both big and small. At least throw a goofy pic of your employees posing with 40 oz beers or something ya know?
  17. our new website

Well, I think your second post was most important. You have a client base, and they expect large unique personality. The website exemplifies that. Good work. I think what you tried to do, is take the energy you feel in your business and bottled it into a website. Sure it needs some tweaking...
  18. Using downloadable brochures on your website.

The website, I created myself. The logo I did not. The brochures I hired someone to rework some older brochures of mine. The site has created a problem of too much business for me. I mean don't get me wrong, I will take that problem, but I am being honest about not managing the inflow to well...
  19. Where to buy my blanks, stakes, etc?

Alumapanel is a great company I use regularly. They ship all over and they even have their pricing listed online which is a GREAT reference for us sign companies. www.alumapanel.com Homepage This is the link directly to the aluminum you asked about...
  20. Applying to Coroplast

The height on your roller should be at about 3mm or maybe 4mm, that will give it enough pressure. If you don't have mm, than use 1/8 to 3/16th of an inch setting. Just don't smoosh the poor thing. If you have a lot to do, the laminator is the way to go. If you have one or two, big squeegie...
