    Well....I won't attempt to find an excuse but whomever called the dual monitor issue was correct. I thought that the other monitor was disconnected and didn't give it a thought...BUT, I made no changes within my video card software so why is there still nothing on my main monitor??? Thank you...

    At one time I tried System Restore in safe mode and it didn't work so it never crossed my mind to try it again. Doesn't turning it off wipe out all subsequent restore points?...I have turned it off before to do maintenance malware sweeps in the past so I would suspect that I have nothing to...

    Taskbar is there....let me restate that I can "access" system restore, it opens but is minimized in the taskbar and does respond when I try to "maximize" or "restore" the window.

    - Windows XP - it loads but when programs are opened they are minimized to the tray and will not "maximize" - there are also no desktop icons - everything is fine in "safe mode" so I suspect a driver issue :thankyou:
