  1. A little FONT help please!

Trajan, becoming almost as overused as Comic Sans
  2. Tryna' wrap your wheels?

Well the ad does nothing to show that they don't spin with the wheels in motion. Not everyone reads ad copy. If this was in a magazine I would have skimmed by it and never realized they don't move. They need to show one of the cars driving down the road in motion with the hubcaps still. i...
  3. Font ID - Interiors

    Maybe chevalier
  4. Not Garamond...?

Maybe Adobe's version of Garamond. There are probably over a dozen versions of this font
  5. need advice on an image

It is possible that the image was taken pre-digital and you are seeing the grain due to film speed (fast film vs slow film). I will let one of photographer experts here confirm
  6. Photoshop and Photopaint basically equal?

Whenever I see ads online, newspapers, etc for graphic designer job openings, the software requirements for applicants are probably 90% Adobe. For sign companies, it tends to be about 50/50. Probably because in the early years of vinyl production, there were very few if any programs to drive...
  7. Contests to get work.

The problem i have is contests which go to the lowest bidder. If you do something for $25, someone will do it for $24, and then outbid again for $23, and so on. You rarely win when competing because in this case someone will be willing to do the $25 job for $1 because they want the "exposure"...
  8. Contests to get work.

Don't companies do this all the time - pro bono?
  9. Tryna' wrap your wheels?

Ah ok, I did not see that.
  10. Tryna' wrap your wheels?

Ugly, but maybe they need a spinner version so you can read while it's moving

  12. thinking about going to the apple side

Congrats and enjoy your new rig. Be prepared to hear from many how you overspent, but to each his own. When someone shows off their new Harley or other toy on here they don't berate but computers are another matter for some reason If you upgraded memory through Apple you probably did spend too...

  15. Hard Drive Prices Skyrocketing

Yeah it probably depends on the type of user. My guess is that people who are dealing with large photoshop files may have a hard time justifying the time savings versus losing disk space Would it make more sense to have the OS on an SSD and then archive to SATA or externals? I don't deal with...
  16. Classifieds plug-in. PLEASE get rid of.

Ok scratch that. I found the link and clicked again. Maybe I accidentally clicked on the "sold" link. It is back up. The planets are aligned, all is good
  17. Classifieds plug-in. PLEASE get rid of.

Hmmm, I renewed my ad a week ago and I noticed it is not there anymore under outsource services. What gives? I get the monthly request to renew and I know for a fact that I clicked on the link and took the steps like i have done for over a year
  18. Hard Drive Prices Skyrocketing

Huh? A 500gb SSD drive will run you $800
  19. Second Monitor Suggestions Anyone?

TN panels are typically for gaming or consumer grade. Most IPS are professional level. So look at the specs. IPS panels won't be cheap. If you have a $200 large monitor it is a TN type of panel That is why there are $700-1000 monitors that are the same size as $200 monitors
