You need to set your machine to half-cut on the printer itself from its own menu and then just send the regular cut job from the computer. No matter what program u use you PRINTER receives the data and makes it normal cut or half cut.
Look for the half cut settings on your machine and voila. But it will kill your knife and cutting strip pretty quickly. Check it out and i'll give you some tips to improve the technique if you like the results.
I started the whole business with a used pnc 1000, I really loved the quality - not worse than the gx-24 by all means but the lever clamp :banghead: oh how much I hated that little f*cker.
PNC 1000 ?:clapping: Just let it die in piece, it served it's duty. I mean this machines is probably more than 20 yo, maybe 30 ? If you really need to fix it you should change ALL the electrolytic capacitors on the board as they dries out after two decades, all other components lasts about forever.

I went with 8 color cartridges for my Mimaki, quality is so much higher than expected even on laptop decals that I wish I went with bulk double cmyk. 8 color will generally slow down the printer but gives better quality primarily on gradients especially on B&W gradients. For banners and such go...
Do you have a long cutter? I'm looking forward to receive my 120 inch cutter (keencut technic ARC TE), I wonder how others do it, just ruler and knife?
Spray some lithium grease on a paper towel and wipe the rod with it. You do NOT need to see or feel the grease on the rod at all. Do this every 6 month and it should be fine.
Never used one but I know that it has a 4KW power consumption. A normal eco-sol printer uses 1,5KW and it heats up a small office pretty quickly - just something to take in consideration. As per specs it's also super duper heavy...
Same sh*t here, couldn't agree more, except that Japanese Roland headquarters probably never heard of my problem, my issue got stuck in Greece - some king of master dealer for Europe.
