  1. JV3-130SPII yellow issues

Problem #1: Keep your printer & docking station clean. I believe that the docking station wasn't properly cleaned and that the head traveled over it and got stuck. That leads to the docking station not retracting properly into its lowered position. Don't worry, that happens to the best of us. ;)...
  2. First Wall Vinyl Job- Installation help

Get the 3M adhesive test kit. You will need to test EVERY wall before applying vinyl, sorry but you'll thank me later; it'll be better than your vinyl falling off. Also, never trust that just because one wall is painted with a certain paint that the adjoining wall is painted with the same. For...
  3. dumb scale question

I would pick a standard size to save your illustrator template at, or just be sure to name the filename with the scale in it. Then place it as a smart object in PS and scale it appropriately in PS. To get it to a standard size, use your transform palette. Illustrator and Photoshop allow you...
  4. dumb scale question

For drawings coming from CAD like these, most of the time the templates are set to a certain scale based upon what the blueprints are printed out of, not any particular scale. We do quite a lot of DOD contract work here also, and custom emergency apparatus graphics I was just stating that I tend...
  5. dumb scale question

You need to pick a standard scale that you are comfortable designing at and stick with it whenever possible. This will get you accustomed to the standard numbers you'll use to re-size between scaled and full-size. When I design artwork for vehicles I use 1/20 scale as that is what our...
  6. Software

You're on the right track. if you're already experienced with the Adobe Suite of products then I would suggest going your planned route. If not, then I encourage you to try some of the other options also like Corel Draw and see which one you prefer to work in. If you're not previously...
  7. Anyone know where i can finance for a roland or mutoh printer?

Where ARE you? Knowing which country you are in might help a lot; this is a worldwide forum. The more specific the better, no need to leave out details when asking for help. :Welcome:
  8. Color Change Issue

We have only used Avery Chrome wrapping material, and at the price point - it had better not have any defects! Otherwise we have ALWAYS used 3M 1080 solid color wrapping materials and NEVER had an issue like this. We wrap a lot of solid colors.
  9. sign warehouse support horror story

I am not exactly sure what types of supplies you regularly order, but I recommend giving Advantage Sign Supply a chance as they have always been GREAT to deal with and they are also local to you.
  10. 600mm white print

Print it reverse on clear with an inkjet printer and laminate the back with a white vinyl? Or print it to the face of the white cling for reverse viewing? Your question is still a bit ambiguous for us to provide a good exact answer.
  11. Where can I get printheads!!!!!!!!!! Mimaki JV3

solventinkjet.com - they are a merchant member here and have good prices.
  12. Color Ink Band Appears When I do a Test Draw

I think most problems like this usually result in bad ribbon cables or slider board. Try switching ribbon cables between heads.
  13. Free Stuff For Y'all

    Are all old attachments gone?
  14. Free Stuff For Y'all

2015 ez go rxv Here is a template I made a couple weeks ago for an EZ GO RXV golf cart. It should work well for you, but I do NOT recommend wrapping the roofs of these due to the insane recesses.
  15. Template for Bobcat UTV?

I have never used this website personally, but others here use it I believe. http://www.the-blueprints.com/vectordrawings/show/5971/bobcat_3400d_utility_vehicle/
  16. Printing Flourescent

Most of us can't switch out our inks with fluorescent inks to print a couple race car wraps so custom inks are pretty much ruled out... I would suggest that it could be accomplished fairly easily with a standard printer that prints both CMYK+white. And by printing onto a solid color wrapping...
  17. new to wraps looking for a dat bit of info

I would recommend "piecing" out most of the aspects of the projects out at first and then trying certain pieces yourself on different projects as you get more confident/experienced. Don't worry if it takes you a while to get certain things down. Hire an EXPERIENCED designer to do the art...
  18. Applying wide vinyl to exterior window

You may want to have the windows checked to be sure applying that much vinyl of a solid darker color will not damage them in extreme temperatures. I also would recommend perf.
  19. Black (Gun Metal) Grommets?

Grimco carries black grommets, but we've never used them. We don't grommet many banners here in-house.
  20. GSX Blowing fuse?

When I turn on my GSX 15 plotter the rear-most fuse on the motherboard blows almost immediately. I purchased this plotter used recently and the previous owner said it worked fine when he put it into storage and when he took it out it wouldn't turn on. This is a 7.5amp fuse. I blew out the...
