That's my boyfriends high school son LOL. He is fixing the truck up and wants to have a gutter cleaning business. $1200...truck is running, the hydraulics on the ladder need some work. He and my son fixed all the wiring, oil change, etc. Will it amount to anything? We roll our eyes...but it...
I have a customer who puts "Unilock" on the arms of his landscape apparel and the company gives him a kickback. If the customers wants to ask, they may pay for some it.
It's getting ridiculous, that's for sure. I also agree it's mostly caused by white liberals.
Since when did the minority of people, or just ONE person get to make up the rules for the rest of us?
I sure hope I can retire before being accused of making some kind of racist sign or using the...
I use Remote PC. I agree that my home internet isn't as fast as work so it's sluggish. My other thought was to buy a laptop and bring it home at night. Now that I have the option to design at home, I really don't do it anyway LOL
That's exactly why I measure again...those darn emblems! Here and there I cut ahead but for the most part, I just wait to be sure. Measure twice, cut once.
I don't print in-house so I do have some restrictions and recommendations for artwork when uploading and printing. I also don't feel like waiting 30 minutes for a file to upload to the site I use :)
I'm no photo expert - get that out of the way first. I'm making 4'x8' signs for the baseball field. A designer sent me a file that was 74mb large. It's comprised of a banner across with the business info and 3 separate photos underneath. She also has another layer with all of it saved as one...
Interesting conversation. I have some discs from Pro Vehicle Outlines from the 2000's but now have a subscription to MrClipart. I like the templates for when I can't measure the vehicle. I often do truck doors, tailgates, etc. The customer can call me with the info, I'll use the template for...
Since we are talking about measuring, does anyone else still use a Pica pole? I use it ALL THE TIME when I apply vinyl and for apparel.
I started out in graphic design in 1993 and have been using the same Pica pole I bought for school. I just recently purchased an additional 12" and a 24". Tape...
I usually do 18x24, 4x8, etc. (coro flutes! be careful!) I've learned many customers are confused by the words, height, length, width. A few have used length and width for measurements. They confuse width with height. I usually find drawing a picture with arrows and the measurements best when...
Oh Gino, always the funny guy! As far as the liver transplant thing, I'm pretty sure they have weekend classes in Mexico to get your license. "One Stop Shop, Signs and Livers!"
They are just signs. If you came on here saying you were a plastic surgeon who continually removed incorrect limbs...I might say it's time to hang it up LOL Again, it's just signs and don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you are doing a fine job!
I wanted to give up many times but I didn't. Don't feel sorry for yourself, just keep moving forward. Everyone makes mistakes it's just that now, they come out of your pocket. You were not perfect at your last job and you will not be perfect owning your own business. Sometimes I make several...
