  1. HP L260/Caldera Arlon DPF 6000XRP profile?

The i1 will work fine, however there's a heck of a lot of patches to measure. If you're doing one or two this might now be too big of a deal, but if you are going to do several you ought to get the Caldera Easy color-- it's automated and works for most machines. Sure beats doing the readings...
  2. L26500 cartridge bulging

It's not really that big of a deal. Unless this happens with each cartridge replacement, move on.
  3. VisualRIP+

Well, within reason. What you do is RIP your document, and then get the cut file info from Spooler. Look that up in VisualCut, and then it'll cut it. You'll need to choose "blind" so the machine just cuts-- it won't have any dots to look for.
  4. When printer is not being used

It depends on the printer. Some machines will not do their own cleaning without media loaded. If you do take it out, make sure your machine will clean without it.

  8. Hp latex 3000?

This is not necessarily correct. It was a much bigger deal on the 800/850, but the 3000 isn't as susceptible to temperature, because it is using a completely different way to dry and cure the prints. The heat is much more localized, and the machine is directly measuring the heat of the units...
  9. Hp latex 3000?

We went to Spain for the product launch, and were one of the first to get this machine here in the US. I can't say enough good about it. It's not just an upgrade to the LX-800/850 machines, it's a total redesign. Well worth the investment.
  10. Caldera or Onyx RIP?

This is where you miss the point. My Caldera install is running on 18 computers. Eight are at users desks to prep files, six run as print servers for the printers themselves, and four run our Summa cutters. All of the computers are the $500 Costco special (limit 5 at a time, had to go a few...
  11. Caldera or Onyx RIP?

Why would you have to buy a Mac mini? There's no need for that. Your PC will work fine. You can either have Ernst walk you through getting the settings correct, or get a new network card... It's really no big deal. You don't need an insanely fast beefy machine for caldera. Heck-- why not...
  12. Caldera or Onyx RIP?

Every way. It's faster. I can get a file in, setup, and printing in caldera before I can get a file in to Onyx It's modular. I never have to worry about a crash. I can run the whole shop on it without worry. I used to run 5 machines on Onyx, and crashes expected, taking the while shop down...
  13. Caldera or Onyx RIP?

Actually it's not. It makes perfect sense. With Linux they can control the whole environment. Everything is built by them. The Linux distro is setup to run Caldera well. There's not a lot of overhead that comes with it. It just works. In any way shape or form, I can do things faster in...
  14. Hey Fellers and Montroy.

    That's slick!
  15. Roland + New Caldera RIP = custom prfiles?

If you're making many profiles the Caldera easy color works great and is automated. If you're doing a few or don't want to spend as much the i1 version 2 will work great as well. You have to measure hundreds of patches with whatever you choose so I prefer the easy color as it is pretty...
  16. Postershop Upgrade?

Do a real upgrade and invest in Caldera. It's a fantastic product, and will make you much more efficient.
  17. First Container full of materials arrives for 2014!

It's all how you arrange it. We've got a container that just arrived as I type this, and we've got it for the day.
  18. PosterShop 10.1 Help

-Could be an issue with the key or permissions. JAWS doesn't RIP TIF/JPEG files. JAWS does your postscript/PDF files. - Could be a problem with JAWS itself (bad install, corrupt file, etc)
  19. Pro4 XR-640 ink configuration change - possible?

Firmware wise, there might be something you can change in the service menu that would let the printer see the new inks. Now, for the flushing-- it's pretty simple to run a new tube for the ink chain, and replace the pump and dampers, etc, without any trouble. Your printer would be free of the...
  20. Anyone using Caldera RIP software as both a print and cut solution?

Caldera will work great, and I've got a Multicam to sell to you. Send me a PM if you'd like more information.
