i got an email from 3m OW yesterday saying i lost my bid for an install....
um. wtf. i never bid on an install. are these people just daft? they can print up that email and CRAM IT. dont email me again bozos.
We regret to inform you but the installation for order 103303 has not been awarded...
3M original wraps called me today to do an install for them. Pretty coincidental.
I told him immediately no thanks and dont call me back. After the shocked silence he asked why is that. I said because you are my competition idiot. Dont call me back. And that was that.
my switch is now official as well. first order on the way.
here is a picture of the LAST dookie roll of 3M that i just finally burned through.
notice the CRAP that was on it (a piece of backer that was rolled into the roll) that fragged the entire panel? yeah this is typical. they cant seem to...
i wish i could get $800 for a matte black hood! especially with the garbage quality that these nerds are putting out.
i cant wait till the scat hits the fan tomorrow when 3M blows a gasket over these prices being released. more please!
$799 is a great price. but the problem is, what is it? and the REAL problem is who stands behind it.
for all i know it could be fellers lamex and whatever their cast wrap film is. even with fellers standing behind it, i wouldnt buy it. no reputable shop is going to use an off brand yet to...
its not too bad. just spray it on. keep the side you are working on out of the sun so the remover doesnt dry up. let the adhesive soak up the rapid remover. you can see it actually puff up as it absorbs it. a quick thumb nail test will tell you when its ready.
then blow it off with a pressure...
i need installers BADLY. i will provide relocation assistance if needed.
you MUST have experience and you MUST have references. this is a full time salaried position.
i need someone NOW.
please let me know if you would like to come to california and start immediately.
you better beleive those insets on the sides are too deep to conform to. thats why you can see them lifting in the pics. those should have been cut an dropped. 3M would say that they used 380 which they didnt. regardless, ive used 380 it still wont stay down in those channels no matter what 3m...
eh... isnt there some serious deviation from the 3M tech bulletins on how that stuff is supposed to be installed?
arent those deep channels supposed to be cut and dropped per 3M?
the first wrap i ever installed looked better than that. no joke. that must be a mechanic install.
