  1. Roland CS 545EX for sale

The price is now $500. We have purchased a new machine and as an purchase incentive, the manufacturer is offering a trade in. They take the head board as proof of trade in. So now the machine is without headboard. Plenty of good parts.
  2. Volume political yard signs

Hi All, My go to printer for coro signs is signs 365. I've been asked to quote on political signs 12"x24" (qty) 250. Who would you use for best price and good quality?

Welcome from Connecticut. The sign business is fearful and wonderful. Enjoy the ride.

Life is too short to think about stuff like this. RUNNNN AWAYYYYY
  5. New scam? Most likely!

If you hear from him again, ask him if he knows Dr. Mabootu from Kenya, he was going to share $8,000,128,.50 with me.
  6. Suggestions Oh boy..........................

I used to be a people person but people ruined that for me.
  7. For Owners/Managers

Ever see what happens when a professional baseball player makes a mistake on the bases or in the field? He is immediately taken aside by one of the coaches. It doesn't seem as though they are being yelled at, seems more like a learning experience. We make things out of raw materials, nobody can...
  8. Need source for pylon sign divider bar/H bar

    Any SignComp supplier sells it
  9. Credit Cards

I have one client that reminds me to add the % because he uses a card. Very rare. I don't add for card use but if someone wants to give me a multi thousand dollar deposit to start a job I ask them to mail a check. One plus I've seen with card sales is people are more apt to add enhancements if...
  10. Different HDU Types

We use SignFoam 4. It's a good product. You'll find 18lb requires less prep than 15lb., it just costs more.
  11. Max Metal Lite ACM For Sale

    What size and thickness?
  12. Question copper metalic foil

Copper leaf is available. It's reasonably priced, comes in 5"x5" sheets. Only issue is you'll have to seal it with clear or it will tarnish.
  13. Exterior PVC Expansion and Contraction

Avoid dark colored exterior PVC signs, they will absorb the sun's heat and turn into a pretzel. I've had success with white PVC signs @ 1" thick. Another drawback that will come into play in Vermont is that PVC becomes brittle in very cold weather, especially after a few years.
  14. Chromatic Bulletin paint

I have 36+ unopened cans of bulletin paint, assorted colors. Local pick-up would be ideal. I will pack and ship if needed. $20 handling charge to box up, buyer pays actual shipping charge. Over $1000 if bought from your sign supplier. $300 for the lot. These are still in the 4 QT cartons.
  15. Roland CS 545EX for sale

Well maintained machine was running with no issues. While printing a banner I had a head strike on one of the metal hold down clips. All heads need to be replaced. I am selling it as for parts or restoration. It's in CT. $1800.
  16. Time for a new printer

The last thing I want to be is a high volume printer. I still really enjoy creating signs. No offence intended toward HV printing shops, they probably make more $$ than producing a sign from raw materials but that’s what I do. So, if I was to look at a Mimaki, which one?
  17. Time for a new printer

I already have a cutter. It won't read crop marks.
  18. Time for a new printer

Hi all, I'm shopping for a new printer/cutter. I've always used Roland so I'm partial to their machines but not married to them. Not looking for UV. I heard horror stories about the TrueVis printers when they were first released. Have the bugs been worked out? Does another company offer a...
  19. Need Help How to mount a sign to a rock

I would use stainless steel threaded rod. Drill holes in the stone. mount rods with epoxy making sure they project far enough from the face of the stone to attach your sign. Screw in a nut and washer on each stud as a standoff. Mount your sign and hold in place with acorn nuts.
